You may be able to get by with just some winter tires, but if you want to be prepared , get the twisted or square chains. The V-bar chains seem like a little much for on the pavement. I have some and I've only used them off road in deep snow with ice underneath.

A byproduct of diesel combustion is soot, this soot is captured by the filter, and because the particles are so small, they will clog the pores of the filter and restrict airflow

Its not an preferd cleaning method du to Pascal Princip, you will not clean all "tubs" and you will have a water issue as well

We had the same question, and the short answer is, kind of. We have varying success with ones we tested, but the results were too unpredictable to be able to offer as a service to our customers.
