august was a really good reading month for me too!!! I read 10 books and 4 of those I read during my women in translation read-a-thon video which was soooo much fun :') that last book you talked about 'what is mine' sounds soooo interesting, I'll love to pick up more Brazilian lit

@@JemimaRose WIT reads are just sooo good!!! and if u want to read more brazilian lit i’m going to go ahead and recommend “crooked plow” it was longlisted in this years international booker prize and it’s a stunning coming of age following two daughters of this farmer. they’re 3 generations removed from the abolition of slavery and it touches on the conflicts after that with land and farmer unions :’))) really good!!!

I very much agree with what you said about spice in romance novels. And about characters with a different sensibility, those falling in love at a different pace. I also look for such characters in books. What you said about the main character of this book made me want to read it, even though I don't read spicy romances. I really enjoy you content. ♡ Watching your new videos is almost like catching up with a friend :) Have you read ‘Georgie All Along’? I think you might like it.

What a great selection! I'd be really interested in your thoughts on addie larue, I am absolutely baffled by folk who call it their fave book of all time. My issue was the it takes an age to actually start, all the characters have as much personality as a soggy Weetabix and all Addie really does is whine about the same things over and over. Hope that didn't put you off 😂

With your perfume, don't rub! The notes in the perfume need time to progress, and if you rub, you crush it down to the base note--therefore, your perfume will barely last! :)
