I went to class with a few guys who had never welded before they got to Tulsa. I graduated with those guys and they seemed to do just fine! They start you out with the basics on day one!

Do they issue tools through the phases for the segments, or do you purchase as the class progresses?

You will receive all your tools on your first day in the classroom. You'll get everything you need for welding in the shop all at once.

Good starting kit of accessories. I would suggest seriously considering upgrading the helmet to a quality autodark if you can. It makes seeing the puddle a lot better and watching the puddle makes a better welder. When I first learned how to weld with my everlast stick welder I had a really cheap helmet and couldn't even see the puddle.
@codyreynolds46017 жыл бұрын
noah brown I wouldn't trade my sugar scoop for the moon, honestly. I can see great out of my hood. It depends on what shaded lenses you need. I run either glass shaded lenses or an autodarkening cartridge and I absolutely love them both. Just keep your clear lenses new and no problems. Also those hoods are incredibly light. Especially if you cut them down. But you are completely correct! If you can't see out of your hood what good is it doing for you? It's all personal preference. Thanks!

I'm signed up for class but need a part time job bc I live out of state and have bills and a possible new place bill where are good places to work around the area?
@codyreynolds46017 жыл бұрын
MikeOnaBike TWS can help you find part time work if you can't find one yourself. Lots of kids I went to school with worked at places like Papa John's delivering pizzas. Some worked at warehouses, or even a kid I knew worked at a tire shop. I personally had saved some money before I went to school and I had set my loans up to where I didn't have to work while I was in school. I completely understand that most people need part time work while in school, however.
