I don't know if this helps, but I think that during "Find a way to Forlax", if you don't talk to Marlowe on the way, he will automatically join you there anyway

I think letting him join automatically is actually slightly slower. If you talk to him manually, there's barely any walk animation that he goes through, whereas he has to run a smidge to catch up with you if you don't talk to him and he joins automatically. I believe there's also less dialogue to go through if you talk to him yourself.

I haven't done a tonnn of speedrunning, but I have previously put time into running SotN and Bloodstained. I'm reeeaally enjoying running Gestalt, it's fast and technical and satisfying IMO Re views; I'm putting out a lot of small videos on speedrunning an indie title - I'm not really expecting to get stellar views on these XD My goal here is to create easily digestible information. I just wanna enable more people to jump into it if they're interested!

It's playable on both! I personally prefer controller and afaik that's the intended control scheme, but I don't see any reason why keyboard would be bad if that's your preference

By holding the X button! (Or A button, if you're using an Xbox pad.) I am super looking forward to speedrunning the full game ... I've gotten to toy with some tools in closed playtests that aren't in this demo, movement in the game is gonna be super fun =D

@@Sethlon Thanks for your answer! It's just strange then, I've try it as soon as I saw your run, guessed it was maybe possible with a finished save, but didn't work for me neither. I'll wait for the full game to properly speedrun and I hope skip the intro! Movements are one thing, but I can't wait to see how much we could push the RPG aspect in this one! Perhaps see you around on some runs in the future! Wish you the best

Fun fact, the reason Roy’s dash attack doesn’t work properly is that the hitboxes are active for the same amount of frames as Marth’s. Roy’s dash attack however is slower than Marth’s and I’m not sure if they fixed the issue in the PAL version.

Not dead, just very done with the competitive scene. (You can see just how done by the fact that I didn't even think about putting out a Shenanigans compilation for this April, lul.) I still love Smash, but I'm teaching and coaching nowadays instead of playing. Currently working with the company EPA, I work a lot of contracts with schools. You probably won't hear much from me, but I'm doing well!

@@Sethlon I miss your presence in the competitive scene I remember the first time I saw ashes to ashes or every stream of proyect m , you are the reason I even have a KZbin account to be subscribed lmao , and since then I have not stopped playing Roy , I am a simple casual player neither launchables after you nor currently Kola marked Roy as you did I do not know if you will return to the competitive but he is quite missed at least I do miss you. Glad you're doing fine trully

it’s supposed to send you down so it can land the other hits of the multi hit move, but it bugs out sometimes and you fall out while getting spiked
