When I first moved to Australia this came on. There is a similar movie that was filmed in Australia called "Walkabout". I watched that too and it was very very similar to this.

Horrible to think if the police had listened the first time they could of possibly saved her , or even caught brady and hindley on route with her poor little body in the car police should listen to the parents in these cases they know their children

I wasnt even alive when this happened but its upset me what those evil pair have done to so many the crimes are sickening to hear and think about and their poor familes who also had their lives cut short i cant imagine how they could carry this with them till the day they died i truly hope brady and hindley are rotting in hell begging for air and water and tormented every moment of eternity

I don't understand why the police felt it necessary to show Anne West ( the mother of Leslie Anne Downey), the horrific photos of Leslie Ann that Brady and Hindly took and THEN make her listen to the recordings of her daughter in pain, terrified and pleading for her life. Particularly as, she had already had to identify? Leslie Ann's body.

Incredible people - it’s beyond me how they coped with it.

This woman lived in pain the rest of her life . She must’ve had horrific PTSD from seeing the pictures and listening to that recording . Absolutely heartbreaking.

Next year it will be 60 years, these horrors will never be forgotten; I can't believe that there was ever anyone who expected Hindley to be treated with any mercy after what they had done individually and together to these chhildren. I've loved Salcombe since I had to go there for work 5 years ago. I think this demonstrates how poorly informed much of Britain can be about so much of Britain. Farming communities, coastal villages like this, cities. We all understand so little of how the rest of the country lives it's daily life

I watched this movie over 30 years ago (I must of been the boy's age), I always thought that the father got lost himself and therefore died with the boy at the end. I never realized that the truck's horn is heard in the near distance; pretty sure they all survive and go home at the end.

I think it was just bad luck with the 200 pounds out of all other senerios like the lottery, his son dies

They don't really tell you if he was found in the end
