One of the most predictable main events ever. If you don't know stone cold would end up stunning everyone and using McMahon's knocked out limp hand for the pin. The only good part or surprise was undertaker being at ringside and choke slamming Briscoe and Patterson into the announce booths. The McMahon Austin fued was starting to get extremely predictable at this point but the marks were eating it up. Best match on this was Nation vs DX. Surprise ending with Owen actually getting a pin on Hhh

I'm fine with Gunther not winning at Summerslam. He was just IC champ for almost 2 years. It seems like everyone else has to wait their turn and let stories churn...just look at Gable. Meanwhile with Gunther, everyone is so ready to just immediately crown him WHC after losing the IC title.

Cody should not hold onto that title until Rock's ready to come back......which is probably WM. That's kinda boring. There's a great story here. Cody eliminated WALTER 2 years in a row in the Rumble match. Now, he wants revenge & he gets it at SS. Cody is humbled and has to work his way back into the title scene. I would make that rematch at The Royal Rumble. Cody wins it back at the PPV where he has WALTER's number. Then you can do The Rock at Mania.

I already felt the Hardys on the way of finishing their careers. But not winning the AEW tag belts probably derailed it (for obvious reasons). I don't see either one wrestling in WWE together again. Fantastic tribute to Owen, man. Seems we are around the same age. I did not watch the PPV but I remember hearing about it the next day. My boyfriend worked at a radio station so he got the news pretty early. We watched Raw later that night and were both moved so deeply by these big, tough guys breaking down and sobbing genuine tears over Owen. We especially recalled the poem Mark Henry wrote for Owen. That just tore us up. Bret was always one of my all-time favorites (love all the Harts, really), and I've had the honor of meeting him twice. He is a nice guy, but the pain in his eyes is so clear to see, even years later. I have always respected and understood Martha's wishes regarding putting Owen in the Hall of Fame, but after my boyfriend died in 2022, I understand what it feels like to lose a soul mate. So I think that anyone who would tell Martha to "just get over it" is being selfish. Her children had to grow up without a father. That's something you can never get over. Which would be grounds for termination for impacting such a big show, yadda yadda, etc. Nigel cuts a goodbye promo on Dynamite saying it's worth being fired, knowing Danielson will never have another world title. Could say Danielson already stole his career because he lied during his physical and passed, while Nigel told the truth and failed. As Nigel is about to leave the ring, Danielson emerges and eventually says the only punishment he will allow Nigel to endure is having his fucking head kicked in front of his countrymen.

I think it's great that wrestlers again can go to another company. It's great for the talent, and great for fans.
