Another fun collaboration this week! I'm not familiar with Steve's channel, but I will be subscribing today, especially when he mentioned being a mostly WCW fan when he first started watching. I also enjoyed Steve's mention of Yankee Doodles bar to watch PPVS with friends. I did the same with friends and roommates at that same bar down the street from me in the San Fernando Valley CA. I remember watching No Mercy 2007, and people going crazy when Orton hit the RKO on Triple H through the table to win the WWE title in their last man standing match.

Probably an unpopular opinion, but I really like the WM29 match in hindsight. The match itself was really great. I wasn’t really invested at the time so I can’t comment on that, but having rewatched the match recently, it’s actually really good. Great video as always Greg.

Personally I'd have booked Rock to put over Cena at 28, then win the rumble eliminating Cena last and then putting over Punk at 29. But Rock actually giving back to the wrestling business has always been asking too much of him

I thought it was just me who noticed the change in The Rock character. From 1998-2000 he spoke slower and had a deeper voice. From 2001-onwards he definitely got a lot hyper with his promos.

Shout out to Goodmicwork That said Steve off his rocker saying fans werent giving Austin reactions until after Mania 13. Revisionist history,fans started to turning on Bret in late 96' and slightly cheering Austin in late 96 ..it was a slow turn. Fans didn't care about Rocky Miava as a face in 97' so hes correct on that. Id take those 96/97 crowds over the late 2010's crowds. Then again Steve is the same guy that hates Goldberg and thought Scott Hall should have gotten a push over the Hitman. Different strokes for Different folks i guess. Plus Rock vs Cena 2 was better than 1 in my opinion Also disagree with 17 & 19 better than 15,17,15 & 19 being the worse of three macthes

Totally agree on how the Rock came across at Mania 20. This guy is my fav wrestler of all time...hands down nobody has had me interested in tuning in like this guy. Which is why I love what he's doing today...but man was he weird around Mania 20 time. He did sound like he was hopped up on something, and went from the smooth talking a$$ kicker to the high pitched voice, twitchy comedian..lol. He was awful back then not gonna lie. Lol...thankfully he has moved on from that weirdness. Smh lol

Not to be the guy who complains about part timers bc I’m mostly ok with em, but imo cena should’ve won at 28, seriously that did next to nothing for the rock and yes he was contracted for 3 manias but just imagine cena beats him at 28, rock beats cena at rr for the wwe title, punk wins the rumble then faces rock at 29 (true punk’s title reign would have to wait a little bit, but I don’t think anyone would be to upset)maybe rock even faces Bryan at 30 for the championship since he theoretically wouldn’t have got hurt at 29 and have punk break the streak instead while cena still faces Wyatt but loses. What do y’all think? And are there any match outcomes you would change, besides booker and hhh

Rock N Sock vs Evolution really should have been just a tag without a Flair. What’s even stupider about the Austin heel turn and alliance with Vince is that he also aligned with Triple H who conspired to try and murder him a year and a bit prior.
