Hi! So I’ve definitely eaten these but I’ve never gotten to cook them and was planning to make them, but I was curious if I could freeze them before frying?

It is Iraqi dolma. Excuse me, but at least mention the source and do not steal other people's cultures. Dolma is the main dish in Iraq.

Thank you so very much for posting this video! My husband is Assyrian and since my mother in law developed dementia we have missed her blessed cooking skills. She only had sons and never wrote any recipes down. We have been trying many dishes some successes, some not so much:-). After making this dolma with just a couple lil differences I remembered. It tasted so good! The best part was the look on her face when she tasted it. The happiness it gave her goes beyond measure these days! God bless you both.

Love this Biryani recipe! I’m going to try today. I have been loving experimenting with different heavily spiced dishes :)

I know this will be great, just from the ingredients. I will try it sometime, but there is limited stove space on Thanksgiving, and having to cook it at two different temps make it not play well with other things that will be in the oven. Possibly I could cook in an electric roaster, though. Great recipe.

How far in advance can I make this? Does it freeze well?
@SevenSpiceLifeByLisaK2 жыл бұрын
I’ve never frozen it but I don’t see why you couldn’t freeze the mix until the night before. Thaw in fridge and finish the rest of the steps the day of. I always make mine the day before though since I like the veggies to be as fresh as possible.

Hello!! I love this recipe so much and I will be trying very soon💕I was wondering if you cook the basmati rice before mixing it with the meat and other ingredients??
@SevenSpiceLifeByLisaK3 жыл бұрын
Hi Jayanti - thank you so much! No the rice is mixed in uncooked and raw. And yes, basmati is the best rice to use.
