that's funny af how cinema and redshift users are sometimes unaware of their instruments being at least strange. any other engine can easily diplsay their vector passes on renderview, but not redshift and literally nobody says that. same stuff about some other passes too and the thing that not all passes can be displayed in progressive mode isn't usually being mentioned at all in some guides. i can transfer to any render engine without any issues but not redshift, i was stuck watching tuts for newbies for almost 3 months and now i randomly figuring out that i can't work with rs vector pass not due to skill issue and poor documentation but cuz redshift can't display it. so for anyone who's wondering why their vector pass doesn't seem to work: that's 100% great intended rs feature, it just appears full yellow on you screen and that's TOTALLY fine, just render it. If you don't see your aov being yellow - make sure you are in a bucket rendering mode and make sure aov settings are correct.

I have seen the noise not change until you push it past 1000 samples 1500 2000 etc... Also a concept that is not talked about is the amount of time you are taking to find the optimal settings.. vs just setting it to work where you find a good setting.. but it takes longer.. 3 minute render.. boom set it and go... it may take longer but you spend 35 minutes finding the right settings... when half of your render could be done already..LOL

great video. Curious why people don't use the "scales" option for samples more often. Setting "scale" to 2 is the same thing as multiplying your samples by 2. They added that to make that a bit easier.
