Had some success using oven cleaner, most of remaining residue came off with autosol; it's not a 100% sure method. Just know that if your pipe isn't chrome, the area you work on that has undergone heat cycles will become chrome when using the said method.

Not sure why there were so many negative comments on the music 🤷‍♂️? I liked it and did not think it was too loud. I would have liked a little more information on how you did get to the top bolt on the right side, and I am curious what passenger seat you chose. Thanks for the video!

Get the exhaust hot by running the engine for a bit and shut off engine. Wipe the area with a cotton, non blend towel. This will remove most of the gunk, after the exhaust cools use goo gone to remove any remaining grime.

I’m going for my 1st time this year and taking an RV. How often did you run your generator? Did you feel pressure not to run it because of noise concerns for neighbors, or did you feel free to run it for the A/C as much as you desired?
@EdwinKua
@EdwinKua 2 жыл бұрын
Hi there. We didn’t have a generator in our RV. We basically had to let the vehicle run in idle for half hour a day to recharge the fridge’s battery/power. It is preferred not to do this at night but during the day it seems alright. Overall I’d test the vehicle once a day to make sure everything is in check. That way you won’t be caught out when you need to leave.

@@EdwinKua thanks for the reply. If you have time for one more, if you didn’t have a generator to run A/C then what did you do keep the RV cool inside? Or did you just tough it out?

Thanks for posting this. I stood a little too close to my bike while it was still hot and while I was wearing winter textile bike trousers. The result was a big melt patch on my exhaust and a big melted hole in my winter gear. Honestly, the melted patch on the exhaust annoyed me more, so I’m really looking forward to putting your solution to work.

@JohnMcCormack

@@alexdod606what eventually worked for me was gently scraping from the edges of the burnt plastic patch with an old brass coat hook. I had seen another video explaining that chrome is a harder material than brass and the brass would not damage the chrome pipes. I actually managed to clean it completely while the bike was cold.

Also, the wooden tool is a great tool on chrome, leaving no scratches that I know of with Wd-40, for example:this one construction crew built a aswsome bricked gas bbq station with a sink, the whole 9 yards, granite top and everything, well they thought the customer would pull all the huge pieces of plastic film off all the chrome on the BBQ top and the bottom doors, themselves, they didnt, it was baked on, in the Southern California sun for a year. I was called there to handle this pickle the contractor was in, we used Goof-Off and other things but I finally ended up with the WD-40, a wood stick, lots of elbo greese, busted fingernails, and lots of why did they do this, yet I got it done. The metal polish would have been used to polish it up, I'll use it next time... Your teqnique was great, Cheers. NICE RIDE.

Amazing what you can find on KZbin if you just searched. 🤣 I have a black garbage bag melted to the flexpipe and catback of my exhaust. I saw it when I was in bumper to bumper traffic about a week ago and did my best to avoid it and thought I did but nope, spotted it today when I went to work on the car. Not sure if it's going to cause issues - I hope not!

@EdwinKua

I wouldn't recommend it my fren. Chrome goes through electroplating which is a lot tougher than matte coating. That said I've never tried it as I don't have matte black coats. If you wanna try , test it on an small inconspicuous area of the pipes
