Half-ass reporting- Diane or their research should have done due diligence. I would guess these men had low gleason scores and were not at immediate risk of intermediate or high risk cancers. Also, I think Dr. Ornish is perhaps overstating that a reduction in PSA translates to less cancer, unless they did more biopsies- it may mean a reduction in prostatitis. However, exercise and a vegan diet can reduce cancer growth & inflammation, and can result in weight loss, which is also a factor in PC growth.

What Dr. Ornish says is very true. I reversed heart disease (triple vessel blockage) by changing my diet and making simple lifestyle changes. Here is a video showing what heart disease in reverse looks like: kzbin.info/www/bejne/l2SbimRmjcdqhqM I started following Dr. Ornish lectures on youtube in 2017 after suffering a heart attack. Thank you for the work you have done over the years!

Dean, why not implement Transcendental meditation. You are spot on all the other 3 of 4 This might greatly enhance the outcomes. The studies support it.

But why does one have to have a heart attack for Medicare to cover it? Why not pay for those with high blood pressure and cholesterol to avoid all the prescriptions and a heart attack in the first place?!

I’ve eaten eggs for years. I eat burgers love them. I did the keto thing years w. Since I stopped I’ve had 2 A/fib and my was saying I have 20% clogged arteries. Is it hard to give up love for love of eggs and burgers??
@Alaskaventureswithbrodie3 ай бұрын
That doesn’t make sense. I guess it depends on what you replace those things with. I gave it all up in one day all meat and dairy. I did it for ethical reasons. But the health reasons are quite the bonus.

Hey friend, I hope you found your answers. I never eat the greens for cholesterol lowering as I read the diet. I ate them for arterial repair and decrease plaque on arteries... oat meal every day day after day do you research as from what I read oatmeal decreases bad cholesterol levels and raise good cholesterol levels BUT!!!! to really enjoy the effect of oatmeal ot has to be eaten EVERY day. It begins to hVe a compounding effect that really helps cholesterol levels. Feel free to email me and we can exchange numbers and info

As I ponder important life or death nutrition decisions,I ask the Doc or other experts why does Japan have the lowest rate of heart disease yet they consume the highest amount of eggs then any country and eat fish daily as part of their diet? It has been reported that the average Japanese person eats 320 eggs per year with the yolk! What say you?

This is excellent, and thank for all your hard work getting hard evidence on the effects of a plant based diet etc on these diseases. I myself have am enlarged prostate and elevated PSA, and it really helps to feel that I'm doing the right thing eating a plant based diet. That said, you've also helped me realise that I really have to look after my mental health, which I found actually more difficult than changing my diet. Thank you again and best wishes on your quest.
