Just thought I would throw this out there at you.... found a store pick of Elijah Craig single barrel barrel proof 8 year old "Toasted" at the Wine Palace in Livonia yesterday.... coming in at 123 proof. First time I've seen one in the wild. Thought you might want to stop in there to check it out and get one. Would make for a great future review!

The mcconells I had was a white and green label I believe and i have a similar problem with Irish whiskey to the point I gave up and almost exclusively buy bourbon but that mcconnels was good maybe that’s the one your looking for

I got the regular Hibiki and its great! I cant imagine the day that bottle is empty 😥. I can only imagine how great the 17 is

Happy to say that I do not own any of your top 10 worst! My most disappointing bottle, for the money I paid for it, is a Stagg 23B. Looked forever to find a Stagg and was on cloud 9 when "there it was". Could have purchased 3 bottles of Jack Daniels single barrel barrel proof rye and had a nice lunch for the same price.

Add Dalmore 12, Wild Turkey 101 , Buchanan's 12 year , Old Forester 86 proof , Old Dog, Crown Royal, Proper Twelve, Traveler, Grangestone... I could keep going! lol!

i believe by law the distillery if a company put an age on the bottle, they must use the youngest age of the blend thats in that bottle so for the 24 yrs age is the youngest of them all.. great list brother. Weller Full proof is one hellova bottle but currently the Old Forester single barrel is my daily sipper. its a really good bottle for sure. as for the Hibiki 17, yes they are pretty good. however, im more of a bourbon guy so i love the GTS as my number 1B.. my number 1A is William Larue Weller. both are neck and neck with the WLW being my 1A. but i cant argue much with this list..

Riverset Rye is from the same company as Blue Note bourbon and I think they re-branded as Blue Note Rye. I got a couple bottles of a Riverset Rye barrel strength store pick that were only around $35. At that price, they are among the best-buy bottles that I’ve ever bought.
