I often notice a lot of head movement, and a little prancing in place…possibly because the double bridle has 2-count ‘em, 2-metal bits in their sensitive mouths. It’s done for control when needed. Those bits may make horses uncomfortable…they are required to stand still in one place, hard stones, for about an hour, and the only thing they’re allowed to move is their head-what horse would not want to make its mouth a little more comfortable!?
