I usually try to disc perpendicular to the plow mounds, pushing into them. So, if I plowed in, I disc from the edge to the middle, then pick up the discs, go to the other side, turn around, and disc in again. First discing is horrible, just like you had. But discing after that is a breeze. Discing in like that makes sure the plow passes that weren't great get flipped completely.

It's a disturbing thing that some people can't process things rationally which gets worse with the hate mongering from both sides. The hate for Trump is troubling to me because he is speaking for and like us, he is a person no different than the normal person except he has $$$ that the normal person has. Plus I know there is not 1 person who has made the mistakes he has.
