Can the Belize be used to cross the pacific long range?
@that_yacht_girl9 ай бұрын
According to this article, the range extends out to 2433 NM at 6.6kts. The range and speeds are covered comprehensively. The Galapogas to the Marquesas is around 3000NM so technically no, you couldn't 'cross' the Pacific. However, I have heard of several owners of Riviera yachts cruising the Pacific Islands from Australia taking shorter hops. Passage planning would be very important, I'd suggest... www.powerandmotoryacht.com/boats/tested-belize-66-sedan

Unless I missed it you didn’t mention the Class rating. This is definitely not a true explorer yacht. It’s merely an explorer “poser”.
@that_yacht_girl9 ай бұрын
HI Mike! So sorry for the delay in responding; I've started on numerous occasions and been distracted every time! The brand of the boat is an Explorer, the model is the 62, and they plan on building a 92. I'll add a link in below that speaks to many of the yacht's safety inclusions (and they're pretty impressive for a yacht of this size) however with a range of around 800NM (this is from the website - tests have shown higher) in slow-cruising mode, this is not a yacht you're going to take across the 'pond'. I'll link the safety page from the website below which I hope you'll find interesting!

I don’t think anyone’s under the misapprehension that you cross the Atlantic or head to Antarctica on her, but it would be a great boat to bomb over to the Bahamas on. I don’t disagree however that the open spaces would make this an amazing day boat and perfect for day charters. Guests would love that party deck, right?

I like the aesthetic design. But how can it be an "explorer" yacht when it only has 2800l of fuel? The only thing it can explore is its way to the next fuel dock now I know there is no actual definition, but you would think at least transatlantic range to be called an explorer, say 2800-3000 nm range as a minimum.
@that_yacht_girl10 ай бұрын
Explorer is the brand name. You certainly have a point Jeff, however, there's no denying that this mini-expedition yacht genre is growing. I tend to refer to them as contemporary trawler styles, and at trawler speeds, she has a pretty decent range, if not trans-Atlantic.
