Hello my name is Andreas economopoulos and I would recommend anybody else especially who have disabilities like me to watch your video on how to properly adjust straps so that your recording is comfortable on you no matter what your disability or wait or back problem is and of course for me and those with disabilities I probably would go for those last straps that you showed that they come in two parts one for the top and one for the bottom around the back thank you very much.

Oh, Ta. I have absolutely no problem playing triplets with two different notes. It's the triplets on one note that does me in. Thank you heaps for this - I have not had a teacher - it is a bit hard out in the bush in Australia.

Dear Charlie...well played. The album you named(RSCDS Originally Ours ,...compilation by George Meikle) is in my collection.But...as you know..... does not run over book 45 if I recall correctly..Meanwhile there 've been added 10 books. Meikle is the leader of the Lothian SDB.I have one LP of them(Lismor Label) plus one CD(presumably on the HRM Label(William Crawford of Highlander Music.from whom I have made numerous orders from Holland.) Yes...lots of CD's of this genre are not available in several European countries,as you know. Yoy know..the thing is......only very great labels are (such as EMI Parlophone and later Waverley as vynil labels)were available, provided you had a valid cataloge so you could submit title and artist(s),prior ordering.haha..in Holland it would take round 6 months before getting the item.(!!!)Only the large department stores in the big Dutch towns had a collection with available folk music.(their own import) So ..maybe clear to you....from the 50s on I had great strain to get hold of the stuff,by listening once learned from the 810 MW (AM) BBC Scottish Home Service. And so..my listening to SDM started, struggling on the very weak transmitter of this station.(crackles and fadings and in summer time even nothing!!) However..I learned about the weekly( mon, wen, and saturday) broadcasts and also from the BBC Scottish Variety Orchestra, leader Dennis McConnel, and conductor Jack Leon. This orchestra was a great inspiration to me.They started 1949 and operated till mid 60s,the end of the common Light Orchestra Period.Teit program was in monday night, called"Music On The Move". Striking was, that I weekly heard less and less tapes from the orchestra, let alone a live broadcast.that already was part of the past.Wondering...what was going ON there? Well..the answer to this question I was to hear during my first visit to Aberdeen. It said by a street musician, that BBC was interferring and wanted to get rid of the accordions.. And later by other friends in Edinburgh it was confirmed,in order to promote their Celtic CONFECTIONARIES as it was called by the initiated. As a result, when BBC would have their way....accordions should be BANNED.Good riddance!! However.......... Suppose, you know about this story,Charlie?!And that is the reason, why (during the milennium period) so many good and authentic tunes were not being played anymore by SDB's and "locked up in the cupboard."Inly the mist midern stuff, band A played the compositions of band B. I have written to Aberdeen about this. But I think BBC have lost the battle. Although..the scene never will get that big as in Canada,US,Australia and New Zealand. For the simpel reason...they never were victim of BBC's commercial pressure. Must tell you.....one of my best friends passed away,the1st of August last year. at Aberdeen. A great loss for me...And,...you know him!(....)!having had contact with him for 12 years about comments about the SDB's.(Take The Floor) Kindest regards Shandfan

Wow! this brings back memories. My family had a Dunblane Hydro album from around 1977. On it was this piece played by the late Tommy Ford, a stunning accordionist. I always loved it and still count on it on being one of my favourite pieces if music. Thanks for playing it so well and posting.

Admittedly, Ah'm biased, but honestly, this is my favourite version of this great song ever ... Silly Wizard set a high bar, but the quality of sound and expression on Charlie's singing win the day .... however, let that not overshadow the instrumentation - all played by Charlie himself ... a good job well done ;)

I really liked the strong master accordion sound you used. A lot of players( me included )start this off with a very soft flute sound, but I will now change this to a stronger one. I also like the way you put a gentle wee lift into your tunes, it gives a Braw lilt. Thank you, from Ken in Scotland.
