just got a 2023 drz125 love it especially when I try to wheelie if I loop it my back fender won’t snap because it flexes I’m just looking for a little more power

you are trying to climb the hill with too low rpms I have the same bike and I've climbed much steeper hills. Just try to use the clutch to get the rpms up (Ik this comment is a bit late lol)

My 2010, 800 X-XC is a riot. I love everything about the machine except I can't switch from 2 into 4 wheel on the fly, oh well. But damn, the acceleration from zero on is WICKED!!!

Bro i rode big dirtbikes rm370 yz 465 xl 500.😂Big bikes crazy jumps and extreme riding .Now i have a drz 125 .Im 57 and happy to slow ride the trails with my grandson and not need a lifeflight😂😂slow down on unknown terrain.❤

Wategates DO NOT open when you let off of the throttle, They open when they hit their targeted boost amount controlled bythe ECU / N75 or spring pressure amount to prevent your turbo from over spooling while being on the throttle. If the wastegate never opened, the turbo would spin until it blew up or your engine blows up Diverter valves open up when you let off of the throttle to prevent residual boost that was left over when the throttle plate closes from hitting your compressor causing compressor surge. Noobs call it "turbo flutter".

Bro you just saved my ass. I was out cruising around middle of the night and in the middle of nowhere and my ignition switch went out. Luckily i had a little piece of wire with me so i was able to do this and make it home!

Unfortunately they probably won’t fix just the wastegate because the waste gate is integrated into your turbo they are usually a full turbo replacement

They’re both the old design that shit themselves if oil gets on them. Stick to the revised oem coils.

Failed wastegate not failure of the turbo. Next time my advice is to adjust the wastegate rod so it can remain closed in the closed position. If you take a look at the rod, it’s adjustable

I mean it made the entire turbo garbage but yeah just the wastegate failed. I could’ve adjusted sure but it wouldn’t fix the underlying problem

That was closer to when I first had it😂 now it’s on the rev limiter, clutch dumps and no lift shifts and it takes it like a champ

I'm 5’9 and currently 180. Trying to get into riding dirt bikes. Would this be a good starter, and would I be too large for this bike to the point where it’ll take away from the experience? Thanks.

im 5’9 to and my knees are bent on the 125L but still a really comfortable ride. my dads 6’3 290 and was able to ride it, while the bike isnt to fast it still has good power and seems pretty light to me
