I’ve been playing on and off for 11 years. In total my actual playtime is probably around 5 but I’m nowhere near where I should be by now because I’ve lacked the actual learning bit and just played around. Now I’m seriously playing and videos like this help me stay encouraged not to quit. Thank you

What is the best way for me to buy this particular piece with the backing track a la carte? I see the option in your patreon for $15 a month but it's unclear if that's has a year contract or month by month. Thank you

You are an unbelievably great teacher. I have been watching lots of music /guitar videos and have lots of favorite creators, but you are the best by far. The way you use examples and then change components to show how they would sound using different neck concepts (or modes) is super helpful.

At [07:00] the scale blocks for pentatonic that are shown can be used over the jam loop for some really good soloing stuff. I am a $3 /month Patreon supporter and have gotten a lot from these Friday lessons. They make a big difference, especially the MP3 jam loops.

Man, that scale shape you gave us at [08:15] is bloody well AMAZING. The note pattering is giving me some of the coolest sounds ever. I was wondering what you think of the Mixolydian progression of going like this... "I - ♭VII - IV" ...do you like that one for Mixolydian? Givin' that like 2-bars for each chord? You like that??
@creativeguitarstudio5 күн бұрын
That is another good one for Mixolydian. Good idea!

Andrew...You are the first guitarist to ever describe the Mixolydian, as a half Major and half Minor scale. Cheers!
@creativeguitarstudio8 күн бұрын
Thank my private teacher from my days at Music College. He was the first one who called it that, made sense too, with its Major 3rd and that Minor 7th. Lots of great sound options. He also used to jokingly call Mixolydian, "Major scale's laid-back cooler brother."

when you keep your fingers placed are you pressing or letting them rest lightly on the strings as you press for the note you're playing?
