Just a FYI, if you run the cable from the speaker over the top of the helmet your FM reception is slightly better, especially when you get further away from the signal out in the bush.

What I am gonna ask here is, does GoPro media mod is more flexible and efficient way in daily vlog use than the use of GoPro Mic Adapter? Cuz in my personal experience, when we are using media mod for motovlogging activity, we'll face the difficulty especially when we are going to change the battery when it becomes low (Low Battery Level). We've to stop, put off the helmet so we open the media mod using the tool. When I use just a mic adapter for GoPro, it is more easier to change the battery... I had two different stuff, Media Mod and Mic Adapter. But, I do prefer Mic Adapter + Frame GoPro 8 for motovlog..

I did not like the media mod for the reasons you stated. It drains the battery and it was a pain to swap batteries. I have been using the mic adapter and have a power bank in my jacket to keep recording for longer periods.

@@redhawkadventures8526 But, in several experience when I tried the method what you did, record the footage while charging it affected a little bit lag when I reviewed the result video in my laptop. It made the frame rate of the footage unstable or in other word made the fotage lagging.. So, I decided not to use media mod anymore, then I went to Mic Adapter and I purchased a lot of batteries in e-commerce. Wkwkwkwk... I just waste my money. So fu*k*ng hurt. My wallet is out of money.

What do you most prefer based on the weight of the helmet? HJC RPHA 11 or HJC RPHA 11 Pro for daily use ?

I have the pro. I have the link in the first video when I go over the gear. I don’t know the differences between the pro and non-pro. I just a helmet I liked at Cycle Gear.

@@redhawkadventures8526I would like to give my personal view based on my experience and my friend's experience who has HJC RPHA 11 Pro. Because RPHA 11 Pro has already been certified by DOT in Indonesia. But RPHA 11 only has ECE REG 22.05 safety certificates. So, this why RPHA 11 more lighter than RPHA 11 Pro.

They have replaced the 50 utility app with the Sena Motorcycles app now. Look for the new app and it should work.

I couldn't tell where the speakers where placed. Are the speakers embedded behind the side cushing/foam? Doesnt this dampen the sound?

There is a recess in the side of the helmet for the speakers to go so it doesn’t press up against your ear. It also has some Velcro so you can just stick them on. The check pad has a cut out as well so it doesn’t effect the sound at all. I hope that helps.

The pole I'm missing is the C shaped horizontal pole, it bring out the headroom in the tent. Unfortunately a hiking pole won't work. That is a good idea to bring out the front of the rainfly. I haven't done anything with cycling videos yet but I will keep it in mind. Thank you.

There are two options to add the Aux port, either the media mod or the mic adapter. I was using the media mod for this video. That might be why it looks like it was in the GoPro. -Chris

I’m on my second PAS. The 21 had several issues that was fixed after they did the Starter Clutch Gear Update. Put 20,000 on the 21 and I’m at 15,000 on my 22 as of todays oil change. Buy the Vance & Hines exhaust and you will love it even more!!

The updates to the 22 were good, it’s nice Harley listened to riders. The 2023 model has some other updates due to customer feedback. I have looks at upgraded exhausts but haven’t settled on one yet but I’ll check out the V&H, thanks for the tip. -Chris

Yes. I have it connected to my phone and the motorcycle at the same time. I’m pretty sure you can do it to tell phones as well.

The GoPro 10 comes with one and Chin Mounts also sells one with the screw in the opposite side. I believe I used the one that came with the GoPro. -Chris

Magsafe works with rockform, but the rockform has shit quality. Exchanged it 3 rimes for the same reason... pins that lock it into the mount keeps breaking. They told me I was going too fast and was getting too much wind resistance. LOL I ride a Harley and barely went 65mph top speed cause I'm not in a hurry and ride for fun, not race like some douchbag kids. Will be going with the Peak Design, tired of replacing my rockform (even if it was free for both times I replaced it) and the quadlock is just too fugly and too bulky

I hear you, that’s why we both went with the Peak Design. The Rockform seems to not be as good quality and Quadlock only recently updated their bulky case after PD came out with their Slim Lock design. PD also now have a ball adapter mount so if you want to use the Ram mounting system you have that available now too. Ride safe and not “too fast” lol -Chris

There's a lot of ways this went wrong! They should've made you a priority since they're the one that dropped the ball! I would go to google and share your experience, it will go a long way! How much was the 007 bond edition going to cost you? btw Thanks for sharing this experience

I agree, they dropped the ball but with the way Triumph is with these limited editions they wouldn’t have done anything by the time I was told the news. The Bond Edition would have been around $21k. In the end I’m happy with the Pan America and glad I ended up with it. -Chris

It’s the Media Mod, it seems to work well but might be draining the battery more than normal. I’ve been trying to get the mic adapter to work that should fix the issue

I haven’t tried anything else on it. Most housing seems bulky or too weak to serve any purpose. Since I have the GoPro subscription they will just replace it if it’s damaged so I’m not too worried about that.

I have a Sena 50R and will admit, it’s probably the most confusing and difficult device I have to set up properly. The instructions are not from America, same as the phone app. The options and menus are not specific enough. I had to figure everything out on my own to get the wifi dongle to work properly and the correct app settings to work with iPhone’s “Hey Siri” commands.

I found that to be true on the first set up but the new Sena app seems to be easier to use and I had less issue with it. I have my Pan Am tied to it as well so I just use the controls on the handbar which is far better than the on device ones. I agree the Sena controls aren’t the best.

Hallo, I just used Intercom Ejeas V4 Pro, so, the headset of its, I just modified it by adding an external jack audio straight to the left headset with TRS Jack to the Mic Adapter for GoPro Hero 8 Black.. I bought the intercom at Tokopedia. (Indonesia)

Both have great technology and unique features. The Pam Am is a bigger engine and closer to the Tiger 1200. It’s a little hard to compare the ride for me since I never got the chance to ride the Tiger 900. The Pan Am has been able yo handle what I have put it though so far, love this bike.

I haven’t seen anything on the nt1100 but it looks good. Honda has always made reliable engines. The 900 GT pro is great too. You have some good choices there.

Coincidentally, I’m coming from a 1200 Sportstars that I chose to keep instead of trade partially sentimental, partially for the potato-potato. Subscribed!

I wish there were mounts for 1 1/2 inch bars. That size is pretty common nowadays especially with Harley owners. Either that or a mount that will just screw in to the left or right hand control clusters. I really want one of these but it just won't work for me sadly.

Unfortunately if you want an external mic plugged into the GoPro it will no longer be water tight. This should still be good in rain (I will be testing that). The best option if you want the GoPro water tight would be to record audio separately and sync it in post. -Chris

They are there so emergency services can remove the helmet while keeping your head secure. It prevent any further or potential head/spine injuries. -Chris
