When i was 12 i wanted to go to the local mall to get myself some skittles, but my parents were busy so i decided to rollerblade there. Its important to note that i lived in a VERY hilly area. I reached the top of a short but EXTREMELY steep hill and realized that the other side didnt have a footpath, it was just grass. Given how steep it was, i wouldnt have been crazy enough to try aand roll down that hill even if there was a footpath, but i figured that i could just slowly take sideways steps down the hill on the grass. With the wheels sideways to the hill AND grass making it hard to roll "it should be fine". It was not enough. I began to roll and picked up speed really fast. I realized there was no stopping me now, and at that speed i would trip on the grass and go flying down face first at great speed. Oh shit. I knew i was screwed. I leapt sideways onto the road so that at least i had a chance of remaining upright as i hurtled down the hill... and then had my second "oh shit" moment; the hill ended in a T junction. I was going at what i think was about 30kph and knew i couldnt possibly make the corner at that speed. I reached the junction at insane speed and decided my best option was to continue straight, leap the curb, and then crash into a tree to stop. Outcome: i was covered in scratches, badly bruised chest and arms, my wrists hurt a lot from trying to cushion the impact with my arms before my torso hit, and i somehow lightly sprained my ankle... and i then had to get back up the hill to go home and nurse my injuries

Not my story, however, in 1993, Emperor and Cradle Of Filth were on a UK tour. Amidst the controversy surrounding the Norwegian black metal movement. Cradle was not a part of this, because they are from England. Anyways. One of the members of Emperor killed a man the year prior. And I guess he drunkenly told Dani, cradle’s vocalist that he did it. Dani just thought it was the drinks talking, but a year later, he ended up getting arrested. Crazy.

OHHH THE THRILL OF THE DOUBLE LIFE🔥🔥🔥🔥
@jeffmccrea93474 ай бұрын
Twice: 1) Spun my father's car around a curve on the Rochester N.Y. innerloop at 130 MPH 3 months after I got my driver's license. I spun several times and it almost rolled twice. By the grace of God, I survived and my father believed me when I told him that his right side tires no longer said, "Firestone" because I scuffed a curb. 2) Eighteen months later, in February 1975, I got caught in a propane explosion on a temporary road paving job while living in Florida. I had to run across a 6 lane divided highway including a grass center median to get out of the burning cloud of gas without getting hit by a car and hoping that the flames hadn't made it into the gas station that I was running into. My only injuries were my moustache being burned off, I couldn't run a comb through my hair for a month, my chest hair was gone and my left hand was blistered to twice it's size. I got a week's paid vacation, a free bottle of codeine and a few sleepless nights because codeine is worth less than Pez for serious second degree burns. Oh, and I almost scared my then girlfriend to death. My car was parked 5 miles away as my boss drove me home. My father bagged my bandaged hand that looked like a boxing glove minus a thumb. I hopped into the shower, got dressed, put put on a jacket that my bandaged hand wouldn't fit through the sleeve cuff and proceeded to walk the 4 blocks to my girlfriend's house. She opened the door, saw my hair and the fresh white gauze nub protruding from my jacket sleeve and passed out. I went in and helped her mother get her into a chair. When she woke up, she began to cry thinking that my left hand had been cut off. I kind of felt like that old joke about the missing dog. Three legs, missing an ear, blind in one eye, missing one nut. That second post by 'lordofallkings' sounds so fake - describing effectively a 'big time' fancy lawyer - then saying that he made a basic and big no-no in court? And every detail about the case is expressed literally as vague as possible - no way a lawyer wrote that - sounded like it came from someone who only vaguely understand what happens in court - like as if he's seen one or two court TV shows, and that's the extent of his knowledge..

First story is so obviously fake if anyone knows anything about court. There’s no way the video would be shown, and even if it was shown for some absurd reason, the case would likely be mistrialed without prejudice, meaning that they can just redo the trial with both parties able to prepare for the evidence. But the much much more likely outcome is the judge or prosecutor just don’t let the video be played cause it’s obviously not part of the submitted evidence. Even if the trial part of the story is true, the other lawyer wouldn’t have gotten fired or yelled at for a witness randomly bringing up their own evidence without the other lawyers knowledge.

My sibling didn't fake. How ever my parents did think it was the case. The poor thing looked pale and just complained feeling off, so I sent them to take a shower and try to sleep. 3 hours later I hear screaming. So I drop what I was doing, flung the door open, and litelly flew across the corridor. Sib was crying and in pain. I go for the thermometer. Yep, sib has a fever. So I go to the kitchen while my parents are acting confused. My father has been watching tv the whole time across sib's room. There was no way he didn't hear the scream. He just asked "what's wrong". Well they turned pale when I shoved the thermometer in their faces. It was just an agressive flu.

The person who wrote “everybody needs to lose one” isn’t an attorney. He frames it as a civil case….surely no one is trying to hire or fire a prosecutor….yet he has the burden of proof completely wrong. Civil cases generally go under “preponderance of the evidence” rather than “beyond a reasonable doubt” you would find in criminal. Preponderance means that the evidence need only lean in on persons favor greater than 50%. Lowest burden of proof. Also, they mention a few things that are ethical violations the lay person wouldn’t know. Take these videos with a grain of salt.

I have doubts about the story at 6:48. At least in UK courts, you are not allowed to mention the defendants past convictions during the trial as that would certainly mean a mistrial.

I find it kinda hilarious that the guy faking a mental breakdown became a model inmate when he returned. Like what horrors did you see in there?(Though now that I think about this that might be worrying unless he just fucked up enough to get serious trouble let alone it was likely a prison psychiatric ward) Reminds me of an answer from another askreddit thread about idiots in prison. OP was stuck in a Chinese prison & some guy he learned was from his hometown thought he could protest by pretending to be mute. Eventually they thought something was wrong with the guy so the fake mute was sent to a psychiatric hospital. He returned eventually & told OP it was worse than the prison. He was done playing mute.

"The other lawyer decided it wasn't marriage-wanna." Shouldn't be hard; I don't think that exists. As for the other one from the same Redditor, though, I feel like putting it on the lawyer was just something the guy said to get out of trouble, because what would the lawyer have to gain from suggesting something like that, for himself or the client?
