A commercial that takes me back to a very happy time in my life.

Brilliantly choreographed by the inimitable Alan Johnson; a long time collaborator with Mel Brooks, and re-stager for Jerome Robbins West Side Story.

People forget. The 90s had that Gen Z vibe. Benetton ads, MTV, Gap commericals, Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Powerpuff Girls, Xena, Queer as folk, the Matrix, Will and Grace, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Ricky Martin, Madonna, Fox (yes that Fox!) shows like In Living Color, Power Rangers, Roc, House of Buggin', Martin, 21 Jump Street, Ally McBeal, NY Undercover... even Rosanne's gay boss got married-lol. That whole diversity, "Year of the woman", multiculturalism thing? That was the 90s. And it was natural, because that was supposed to be the America to come. But America wasn't ready. Next thing you know? Bush was elected President, 9/11 happened and FoxNews became the voice of America. Ask your parents and grandparents. And don't let them lie to you-lol

When I was young you couldn't tell me that being a Gap dancer wasn't a full time job and that I wasn't going to be one when I grew up.
