If the USC/Notre Dame game isn't already a sell out, that should b e a problem Jen Cohend. And you need to add that to your list of reviews seeing Riley after the season. He is losing the fanbase. And his lame excuses we heard from Clay Helton and that should tell you you have a problem!

However way you want to spin it. It wound up the same way playing to the le vel of the opponent, Riley passes mostly in the red zone and has to settle for Field Goals and allowed UCLA to stay close and at the end, had to punt to UCLA giving them the chance to win the game. Its all a broken record.

Chris is right, (16:30-18:00) that same running play, GT counter to the left or right, is all I feel Lincoln does. No trap runs, X block series between guard and tackle or Tackle and Tught end. No counter -trey. Where is this ingenuity, that we were hearing about??. Georgia, Alabama, and Ohio State still have Iso and dive plays out of I formation: using full backs, H-backs or 3rd tight ends. Come on Riley, and why not use 3 backs. Jackson should be playing as well

That Chris is an angry little dude....and our schedule wouldn't be so weak if Miami didn't duck us (they were supposed to be on this year) and a couple other teams, say....FSU and USC were more respectable. Before the year it looked like a much better schedule especially with A&M on it...Hard to blame those on ND.

Lincoln doesn’t want to coach USC anymore and it’s obvious, because none of his weapons are in position to make big plays… It looks like he wants to fired and keep all his money. He doesn’t want California recruits and that’s why he doesn’t go after them with any sense of urgency. Basically, USC has a lame duck coach that wants out! 🤷🏾♂️ That will be the biggest story this off season, “Lincoln Riley resigns!” 💁🏾♂️

Agree that USC receivers on 50/50 balls are just not that good. This is about development, Dennis Simmons is not developing his receivers. It also seems like when USC succeeds at something in one game, they abandon it in the next game. Duce was fighting for balls against Nebraska, so they ignore him in the UCLA game Why??? The only reason I can think of for the play calling is that Riley wants to save it all up for the Notre Dame game. He doesnt want to show off his best plays so he can surprise ND.

Coach Riley needs to call a great game and we’ll need our best effort of the year against their run game. If we can make some explosive plays offensively, capitalize in the red zone and stop the run, we will win.

Marc makes a great point on the offensive schemes in being more creative particularly with the run game. Jayden has to polish up the pass attack game using Lane and Robinson in the red zone. Jayden needs to use his legs and run especially in the red zone.✌️

Eric coaches do come up with new plays every week, the issue is that most coaches don’t ever run them. Or they use 1 out of the 7-10 installed plays.

I think Riley added Maiava because he thinks Maiava is equivalent in terms of passing ability to Miss and that it is simply the obvious threat of his caleb-like ability to keep defenses honest, that makes them less aggressive, and less prone to blitz etc.

This is a tough USC team with loads of talent and a team which KEEPS GAMES CLOSE, win or lose. I think these guys here underestimate the current version of this Irish team and roster, foolishly perhaps but most likely in a deliberate attempt to sell some hopium to the SC fanbase. This SC is certainly better than their record suggests but these guys constantly questioning the Irish strength of schedule are the very epitome of hypocritical in my estimation, as SC benefitted themselves this season from an inaugural B1G schedule that did not include either Oregon or Ohio State. Notre Dame is obliterating opponents like no other team in the country is, at present but these guys discount this as simply "beating up on inferior competition".. if that were so easy, perhaps their Trojans could try to pull off a similar trick one of these weekends.. thereby eliminating the suspense from literally every 2024 game they've played to date. This USC 24' schedule has been absolutely riveting.. we're awestruck and glued to our seats. 💯👍🏼😁 Seriously though, I think the point can be illustrated quite clearly that this game should be a tough one due to Riley's dogged tenacity and tendency to keep it close with superior competition.

You guys are talking about our schedule but who could have known that FSU would suck and that Miami would duck us? This is the most dominant ND team that I’ve ever seen. We used to play down to opponents all-the-time.. so there’s something for doing what your supposed to do.
