Maiava is the QB next year. Mentally tough, didn't fold under pressure and made big time plays to WIN the game. That's why Moss hit the portal

Talk about selection bias. Maiava the previous game vs ND had TWO 4th quarter pick sixes a 28 point swing in the matter of 5 mins. That alone was worse than any single mistake Moss made in the 2nd half of any games this year. Maiava has potential, but he really needs to learn how to read a defense and not force turnovers. USC needs to do exactly what they did last year and bring in another portal QB and let them compete. You don’t get gifted the starting position after one bowl game win. Moss didn’t, neither should Jayden. If he beats out whoever USC brings in so be it, but he’s not shown enough to have an uncontested path to USC’s starting QB position.

@speedxkills5881 ND game SC was trailing and needed a comeback. Defense was getting torched. Maiava had us in the game. Don't be upset Miller Moss is trash and lost his job. Do you think Miller Moss wins that game against A&M? Moss choked against Michigan, Penn State, Maryland etc. that's why he's no longer there. Maiava is LR guy from the portal. Only his 4th start and will only get better. A win is a win. In these type of games, you throw all the Stats out and style play and see who has heart. Maiava and these SC kids showed they have heart

Give Jayden 3 years like moss did to learn Coach Riley’s offense and see Jayden explode and win the Heisman next year. @@SamoanStrongLBC-cx4ef Moss literally rallied the team and had them beat LSU in the same stadium. And USC doesn’t have 3 years to wait for Jayden to learn how to read a defense. They need to bring in a portal QB and make Maiava beat him out just like they did with Moss. The more competition the better. I know you want your poly guy at QB, but 6 INTS in 4 games just isn’t good enough (it’s actually worse than Moss’ turnover ratio). Even if Jayden showed some resilience to come back against A&M, USC has a legacy of elite QBs and deserves better and shouldn’t be waiting for a guy to learn how to play the position. It’s not a Moss or Maiava thing. NEITHER one of them played up to the USC QB standard this season. USC can and must do better at QB.
