My doodle was pretty good for his first trim today. They don't want to stand still but i had him up on the table so he wasn't moving as much. I set in the floor to do his paws and he tried to get away.

I am gonna be judgmental here but i don't care. Since this is not a street dog, how on earth did the owners get his cote this matted? I know dog grooming is expensive but there is regular brushing u can do at home. I own a Shih Tzu. I know the breed is high maintenance. Ps. you are a great groomer.

No baby talk! There are some very good groomers that do not talk at all. The dog does not understand what you are saying and often with an aggressive dog that dog can sense your frustration in the tone of your voice.

Good job overall! The dog was also very well behaved. But I have to agree with the comment that the nails were probably cut too short which hurt him. Also inside of his ears could be cleaned by pulling out hair and swabbing with wet piece of cotton pad. Thanks for sharing and giving us a chance to comment. Good luck!

I’ve heard that before. Someone “found” the dog in that condition. Uh huh. Then coincidentally he comes back in a wreck. Sure he was found in that condition. Some people shouldn’t own dogs. Nice grooming by the way. You handled his misbehavior very well. I’m a groomer that changed professions because I couldn’t deal with the neglect and people’s entitlement. I’m an RN now.

Oh my God this is terrible. She's obviously cutting the nails too low ...the poor dog was hurt! Horrible. I feel so sorry for this poor dog. Terrible groomer.

This dog was never brushed at all. He would be in somewhat better shape. A few trims with sizzers would help.

Poor guy, they adopted him? They should be ashamed for not having him groomed in any form. My shih-tzu needs stuff done every 6-8 weeks just to keep him comfortable. Matting is NOT fun.
