My grandmother Maria, who never spoke any language but her Portuguese, would move heaven and earth no matter where we might be to watch the Carol Burnett Show. As soon as Harvey and Tim appeared my grandmother would start laughing , even as reserved as she was, it was a pleasure to have had this show put such memorable moments in my grandmother's life and ours also. Thank you, Joe

Loved this show.....They were all so damn funny....Especially when they tried to stop from cracking up while performing.

I grew up around my great grandma; and all my great aunts, and uncles, and they all sang. We just lost one of our family members, and I’m so heart broken. Watching this, makes me think of them, cause my granny would always watch her.😢 I’m really an adult now! WOW!

I was 17 when this aired. It was SO SAD that it was OVER. This was before the Internet. When a show ended, you NEVER expected to see it again. This was part of the end of my childhood.

I used to sing a tailored version of the introductory verses of Carol's good night song to my daughter each night at bedtime when she was with me. Those were special bonding moments that live in our memories to this day. Thank you, Carol!

It was sad day in 1978 when the Carol Burnett show ending after 11 seasons on CBS. On the final show called An Evening With Carol Burnett. Her ending song brings tears to everybody's eyes. A good farewell song to use when one is moving to a new location to live and moving on to a better job. Also use as retirement.

This take of Carol Burnett's classic song is So MUCH better than the vision hammed up by the overrated, young "star" weeks ago. The best part of that version, was Carol ending the song.

Saw this song sung tonight on the MeTv network. Was just checking to see if this indeed was the final song. This TV show was an integral part of my youth. My parents , especially my father loved her. Your show is so missed. Good times.

This was a show I was always had to go to bed when my mother watched it. I remember her as the BEST Ms. Hannigan I have ever seen. But the show still comes on nightly, on weeknights. But I never heard the first verse until watching on Tubi. This entire song just makes me want to cry for some reason.

“I’m so glad we had this time together, just to have a laugh or sing a song. Seems we just get started and before you know it, comes the time we have to say So Long. There’s a time you put aside for dreaming, and a time for things you have to do, but the time I like the best is any evening I can spend a moment here with you. When the time comes and I’m feeling lonely and I'm feeling oh so blue, I just sit back and think of you and me and the happiness still comes through. That’s why I’m ... glad we had this time together ‘cause it makes me feel that I belong. Seems we just get started and before you know it, guess it’s time for me to say So Long. “ (*wink, ear tug :)
