The best advice I can give you and your family is 1. To halt and completely discontinue everything that has to do with solar roadways. It is a bust and everyone with even a quarter of a brain in their head now knows that. 2. Make a public apology of how wrong you were. 3. Start paying back the money you scammed out of the taxpayers and ones who funded your scam. Over 4 million dollars is a dismal amount of money that has shown nothing for it in over 4 years. People go missing for A LOT less than that. For your own safety...

This is never going to be a road material. However, I bet this would make a beautiful driveway for homes who want to be unique. I would love to have an easy to clean, oil proof glass driveway and having LED's on at night is very cool. Just because the solar roadway concept is a fraud, there is no reason this could not become a novelty for private paving whether a driveway, patio, tennis court or dance floor.

I'm not sure you guys know how much work goes into creating prototypes and making sure it works in every condition - they're probably busy actually working on the project than worrying about you figuring its a scam. This will work, you just have to give them time to refine the idea and the machinery - people thought airplanes were stupid and a scam too - Imagine how dumb they felt when people built airplanes? I imagine they felt pretty stupid, the world is constantly changing either change with it or go to a remote island where we don't have to deal with your ignorant ideals.
@D3nchanter8 жыл бұрын
it is a scam, even if the people that made it aren't aware of it. why? because glass is a purely awful substance and solar panels that are flat produce very very very little energy compared to those at the proper angle.

You just know this is scam, when you cant comment on the newest videos. Hope no idiots will donate money, to this shit. + I think this would pollution way more in the production, when its getting out to the real world roads, than it would help.

Whats powering those roadways as you stand on them at night?
@Ezoriel66610 жыл бұрын
No vendría mal en España... Teniendo en cuenta el ritmo abusivo de nuestras construcciones inútiles, y los elevados gastos que tenemos al año en reparar carreteras... ésto sería un cambio...
@Dannypage228 жыл бұрын
Con esto las reparaciones en las carreteras costarían 100 veces mas ya que no reemplazarían asfalto sino: leds, cristales, microchips y paneles solares.

I think you guys are great and I really really hope that you are able to get this all to take off. However I gotta say, why the heck are you waisting your time reading through all of these names to make videos that no one watches when you have 2Million dollars to develop your solar roads. Give us updates on how that is going, not some dull uninspired list. Prove to us that our investment was worth it! that's our money in your pockets.

I just LOVE how most of the "arguments" people use against Solar Roadways are answered in the FAQ on their site. Yes,they openly admit that their first prototype was not very effective during daytime. They next prototypes,however,are so bright they have to lower the brightness during the night.

Cool. The people trying to get money out of you say it's all OK. They don't provide any proof, but what they say MUST be true.

Reading everyone's reply on this vid. So people have to rage and say its a bad idea and won't work. Its so funny because this repeats in human history so much. Like the internet, cars, airplanes... when they were thought up many people said they would not work. But, guess what they were wrong. So, I will laugh at all the people that said this won't work. Because the day it because wild is the day I watch people say I told you so. :D

Why even have the solar panels in the road. Put the beside the road at an angle and they will preform several times better and the road will last way longer. Sure. You wont get your ego boost but at least that MIGHT work. And instead of using leds have a rotating cube or triangle with a light source in it. That way you can "paint" the road by turning it and it may be visible in daylight even because the actual color will change and you wont have to outperform the sun. What material to make the actual road of however is a big problem. Glass wont work and sapphire glass is way too expensive. Some kind of polymer might work but honestly lets be honest. This is going to cost several times the amount that a regular road would and there would be little to gain other than ego. Just use glow in the dark paint on the road lines instead.
@almightymurk9 жыл бұрын
One of the reasons they want it on the road is so they aren't taking up any new space just replacing isles old space. Put and angle to the side is more efficient. Maybe lane guard solar panels?
@trashpanda59479 жыл бұрын
It's not going to generate enough electricity to break even. It would have to run for 3000-4000 years. Watch Thunderf00ts videos on the matter.
@trashpanda59479 жыл бұрын
Solar panels can be placed on rooftops. Because then you don't have a car parked on it when the sun is out.

If you make a route with that, is it going to be safe for drivers?, is it going to have a friction similar to an asphalt route? I am curious about it.

The fact that this stuff doesn't already exist everywhere is more proof of the global conspiracy keeping big oil in power. Not to mention that these people are evil and WANT to see the planet being poisoned. I'm going to go with that instead of the more likely scenario that these magic beans are going to power neighborhoods, pay for themselves within anyone's lifetime, cure cancer, whiten my teeth, make women want me and men want to be me.

Have seen that you have found investors to develop the Solar Roadways, maybe you should consider creating an account through PayPal or similar so small investors can support you too. It can be $ 25, $ 50, $ 75, $ 100, $ 250, $ 500 - small shareholders. They can lose the investment / money or make their life best investment. Because the project has endless possibilities if it can be realized.

Umm.. Did you miss the part where you can throw your money away on IndieGogo? They'll be happy to take your money - all the way to Tahiti! Scam artists the lot of them, but feel free to invest. Nobody saw anything wrong with Bernie Madoff either, until his son turned him in.

Now they even stopped appearing in their videos? I am thinking, they are probably enjoying their lives at some sunny beach far far away. Got 2.000.000 USD on their account. Just remote control their stupid prototype to record some thank you messages. That's the good live. If it's so easy to take 2 million from (I assume mostly stupid) Americans, I will soon try to come up with an even more ludicrous idea. According to this whole Solar Roadways experience, the more stupid the idea, the more money in my pocket.
