Yeah, the resulting mixture is why the nose door and windows were open in 30-degree weather. Take a deep breath!

Really miss the D&H . Grew up in the plott section of Scranton ( lower Green Ridge ) on Finn street . The D&H would shake the houses coming thru there ! I loved watching the trains as they crossed E. Parker street and leaned into the curve under the O&W bridge . From there they would sound the horn for Shawnee and Depot streets then over the Lackawanna river bridge and into Green Ridge yard! Then south to Wilkes Barre . What a time ! Would love to see videos of this area !

Agh.... Those rail cars at the yard seem to be "engaging" a bit hard don't you think...? Mr. Big Mikes matter of fact commentary really point out the sombre faces after that Conrail take over..

I read in official govt documents that the cost of the 8 RS3M rebuilds was an amount that was equivalent to paying for 6 more 7600s, for a would-be total of 26. So which would have been the better choice? And why was Kingsley viaduct built for triple track?

Big Mike's a better man than me, if I got a call at O-Dark-Thirty with some big-wig jerk on the other end going on a power trip, I probably would've done more than just hang up.

I remember the Delaware & Hudson coming through Coraopolis Pa in the 70's . The engines , and coal cars always looked brand new . (clean) and there were always 2 pusher engines in the middle of the train . I enjoy Mike's knowledge and commentary in these videos !
