I have struggled with OCD since childhood and once I realized what it was it got easier to cope. The newest obsession: the fear of death, has been my biggest struggle for about 4 years now. It is not as bad as it was a couple years back but when the intrusive thoughts come it's almost impossible not to want to fall to my knees and cry. It's almost New Year's Day. I have survived another year, only to be closer to losing others and my own death. No step closer to knowing what death entails and what this life means.

i also experience a lack of cravings to begin with, and they start to creep in later. and its also around that time you start to forget why you got sober!! very dangerous stay strong, and don't give up on sobriety if you have a lapse! you seem like a warm & good person, and none of us deserve the pain that addiction brings

No words can describe the hatred I had for myself in youth. I was a professional people pleaser and created a whole new identity to fit in and receive love from the “cool” and “beautiful” people. I had killed my old self and didn’t realize happiness did not come from all the fake friends and hook ups. I had to rise up from the dead, look in the mirror, and love and accept myself for who I am.

about knowing you have a problem and should stop. But once the come down comes you realize you're in too deep and it's almost impossible to stop. You just stare into the dark future knowing it'll end in you crashing. Yesterday marks 2 months of my sobriety!! It IS possible to stop!

I personally find getting protein in the easiest way for cheap is adding things into food Like buying cottage cheese and blending it to put into smoothies, sauces, creams, etc. Smoothies usually are my go to since protein bars and supplements are a bit on the expensive side. I usually do frozen strawberries and bananas, cottage cheese, and vanilla Greek yogurt the Walmart off brand since it’s the cheapest and has the high protein content that I could find at its price. Be careful with Greek yogurt because plain will taste just like sour cream which on the positive side of it you can use it for a replacement for sour cream since it has more protein Chicken is a easy way of protein since it’s high protein low calorie. I tend to go on chicken breast or tenderloins since it’s lower calorie but when I’m scrapping for cash I will also buy chicken drumsticks since they tend to be muuuch cheaper Pork chops is another I like to use just so I don’t get burnt out on chicken since it can get repetitive very quickly if not careful and they can be on the cheaper side if you look around places like krogers Even things like making smash taco burgers with ground turkey instead beef on a corn tortilla will be great source of protein for cheap and low calorie and easy to eat in volume My main advise is Don’t ever just fall for things that say “high protein” and always look on the back of things because you’d be surprise how much protein is in everyday stuff. It’s how I started to know what to shop for since a lot of “health nut” foods and supplements that are targeted towards building muscle and weight lost aren’t really that high protein. You can usually find a much cheaper alternative in regular everyday food for so much less that is the same amount of protein or a tiny bit less. Shrimp, canned tuna, and other fish like tilapia is also really really low calorie with high protein so you can eat in volume. I usually make fried rice with canned tuna or tuna melts or even tuna pasta like how the tuna helper is (if they still sell those 😭😭😭) Even some everyday rice like I think instant rice can surprisingly have a good amount of protein in it Everything also in the end will add up quickly as well And Always look for sales on meat as well since groceries are just so high and ngl being in a high protein diet can be a bit pricey so anything you can find that’s a sale just bring it home and immediately freeze it and use it when you need to Egg whites are a good source of protein too for low calorie and high protein which you can add to everything like fried rice, an egg salad sandwich, add to pancake batter, on toast, anything My usual go to meals are things like fried rice cause you can make it low calorie and high protein. I usually make it at the end of my pay week when I have scraps of groceries Yogurt parfait are good, I say use Greek yogurt FLAVORED with anything you like on top (off brand Walmart vanilla yogurt is my favorite) Stews are great because you can sort of use any meat you want and throw it into it. I usually use scraps of beef and chicken drumsticks Chipotle knock off bowls or fajitas are good as well just be careful with the tortillas and look at the back of them for the calories. I think it’s called extreme wellness? But I usually get those and they are like 69 calories for one and you can make burritos, taquitos, wraps, quesadillas, etc You can even make high protein pizzas with flatbread or even making your own dough, get a cheep off brand marinara or even just tomato paste, and mozzarella low fat if you want for less calories Or make loaded barbecue chicken baked potato with a side salad (just be careful on dressings. Most things I’ve seen is things that have a cream base like ranch or Cesar can be really high calorie which you can get a lite version and mix cottage cheeses with it which will still give you the taste of the dressing and more of it with that creamy texture so you can use less of it. I don’t blend it when it comes to salads I just smack that ish into the bowl) But over all I recommend you do research on cooking as well. You can make almost any dish into a high protein low calorie one with small tweaks or simply not adding things that aren’t seen as essential to the dish Also hot sauce, mustards, and vinaigrettes (if you can eat spice)can be your best friend. Super low in calorie and can be added to almost anything along side laughing cow cheese that you can replace when things call for cream cheese or cream in general (just add a bit of milk or water when it melts down) I tend to eat a lot of Asian cuisines because a lot of them can be low in calorie if you cut the oil out and can be very flavorful. even Indian food Pickles, cucumbers, peppers, apples, oranges, watermelon, squash, zucchini, green onion, onions,tomatoes, and spinach are a lot of the time my go to veggies and fruit since you can throw spinach/lettuce, onions, and peppers into almost anything for volume and low calorie and I just like them And I just like to grab fruit as a little snack if I’m truly still hungry since some days you might work and more move than others and had no extra calories. I also have a huge sweet tooth and fruit tends to helps those cravings I’m not a dietician I’m just a big eater who’s also lost weight and still trying to lose more so please take everything with a grain of salt 😭😭😭😞😞

Idk what your activity level is, but for people who are relatively sedentary .8 grams per kilogram of body weight (or .36 grams per lb) is a totally suitable level of protein, especially if you are trying to lose weight. This would apply to your goal weight. A helpful tip for maintaining a deficit while hitting your protein is eating meals that keep you full for longer that include a protein source. Protein is in everything you eat and you can eat way more vegetables for the same amount of calories as a small bag of chips or even something like oatmeal mixed with Greek yogurt and protein powder which will keep you full and has a good amount of protein. Another thing is soups and stews. You can pack a lot of protein into a stew by adding beans, chicken, tofu, beef whatever you want with veggies and even noodles or rice. Carbs are totally okay. I’ve also had problems with appetite and I find soups and stews very easy to eat and keep down. And if you have a slow cooker they’re easy to make. Just throw everything in there with some seasoning and let it sit for 6 hours while you do jumping jacks, read a book, or rob a bank. Final note: Eating a lot of protein will not automatically make you buff. Muscles are built in the gym and abs are built in the kitchen. If you’re not working your muscles you don’t have to worry about getting randomly buff lol

@KExKE THANK YOU OMFG for activity I hit some simple calisthenics and when them gym memberships hit 1 dollar my husband is getting one so I'll do a more extravagant routine later but work requires me to sometimes walk up an ungodly amount of stairs so Im not completely sedentary (Ive been sick since I posted this so sadly not the truth for this week) youre so right about soups too you gave me some good ideas. I have insulin resistance, so that's the reason I wanted to start prioritizing protein rather than overloading on carbs like usual. I've just always been told to eat my body weight in protein and it never made sense. Again, thank you 😅

@@Kirbybaby lol I totally breezed over you talking about insulin resistance in the video. Yeah in that case I would keep carbs to a minimum. Bodybuilders typically consume 1-1.7 grams of protein per kg of body weight which is probably why you hear that a lot. Calisthenics is a great routine to help you get toned without packing on a ton of muscle. Another thing that could help a lot is getting a good amount of fiber. Fiber helps keep you full for longer and helps keep your digestive system regulated. Remember to drink a good amount of water as well because fiber without water is basically a stopper.

Just wanted to give my opinion on using this technique as a coping mechanism. I understand the intention and the desire to escape this world and cure loneliness. But I dont see this as healthy long term and kind of a misuse of spirituality. I reread the rough draft of dark desire with the intention of reediting and rereleasing it but there is NO saving this story. The main character literally gets amnesia, the biggest TROPE in all of writing. Along with the fact I wrote it when I was 16 and the juvenile writing shows. I'd have to just rewrite it altogether and I dont know if I wanna do all that.

My biggest struggle in early sobriety is insomnia. Counting rhyme is a coping tool to help fall asleep despite the eerie aura in the room, auditory hallucinations and OCD. Half an hour describes the feeling of frustration after the rhyme not working and the anxiety worsening. Swarmed with hallucinations, intrusive thoughts, and paranoia it feels as if you have gone mad and have no choice but to scream. I wanted to put these two songs together because I think they really fit the mood. This is my own fireflies (the most iconic song I know about insomnia) IC3PEAK 2025!!

Being a non-japanese comic-manga writer (currently making an actual anime of my story, by myself), I super appreciate your views not only on how most popular anime (or at least, the ones you mentioned you've given a try) tend to be sort of full of the same most common tropes, but also how a non-full-time anime watcher, like yourself, prefers some background info to be delivered (as in the examples of the fights getting cut for the sake of having the drama, or the master-chess-like convenient ways of fighting or resolving conflict). Filler. I watched the flashback that explains how the visoreds came to be and kisuke getting prosecuted and yoruichi helping him escape. That's fine cause it has to do with the main plot. I basically skipped the captain shusuke arc. And episodes 227-229. Ep 228 is just them on the beach and the description says the women are excited to wear bathing suits 😅 im guessing its just some fan service. I complain about placement of some flashbacks but in that moment, I meant filler/fun episodes that have nothing to do with the main arc.

Reflecting on my youth dealing with depression. I used to cope by maladaptive daydreaming. Which trickled down to an eating disorder, physical self harm, drug abuse, you know the works. Now I’m about to be 25 and I'm sober. I am now happy to just cry as a response to anger and sadness rather than self harming. I can make my life worth living and not be riddled with despair. “It gets better” is so cheesy but it really does. You have the power to change your life and create a life worth living. This is my first winter not being riddled with su*cidal ideation. Stay strong! держись!

My anscestreal karmic cleansing is still hitting me with different feelings, changes me everyday effective good shit and me too and the curses or whatever name before skitzy crazy labeled bs drs nurses homes and cemetery graves lunatic shit!!!! I have just got out of vicious cycle and messed up people mom especially keplt admitting me to hospital and left me to die or go alone no homes to put as contacts n release me in the end. Freed me shit and luckily I have a place n friend to have me cool to me and that's a win!😊

So need to work on my leafy greens but one day at a time. I couldnt sleep until midnight and started getting symptoms so Im thinking i need to eat every 5 hours. Also take magnesium supplements since they help insomnia and blood sugar regulations.
