today i got the great idea of using a landcruiser for a conversion rather than a tundra , etc......ya beat me to it , but i spent the day binge watching your project....THANKS......at 80 years old and going down fast , i realized it's beyond me , and there's no way i'll get to it , so thanks again for the lesson as a d.i.y. guy of 60 yrs. , i kept wanting to tell you to wear some leather work gloves , esp. when you're sawz-alling sheet metal , but i ain't yer mom....anyway , i admire and respect your talent , and hope that rig works out as well as it looks to be going

Dude, I just stumbled across your channel because I wanted to see if someone was camping with their YJ as I own a 93 YJ with the 2.5l in it. Your channel popped up, and it's adding even more fuel to the fire of "I need several more YJ's". Even if I don't turn any YJ's into an overlanding vehicle like yours, I'm still going to watch your channel because your adventures are worth it. Thank you!!

I saw your build on a Facebook group, and it’s really awesome! I am an 80 series owner, but I think the 100 V-8 makes more sense for your purposes. Do you think the 200 series would work for a build like you did, or do the electronics and the suspension start getting too complicated?

First, thanks for the great videos on the Birfields. It's nice to know that people will still share such valuable information for free for all to use. Very well delivered and through. I have one question I was hoping you could help me with regarding the inner seal. Once I pulled out the axles on my 1965 FJ40, I found only a grooved brass bushing in the differential housing just like the one on the spindle, no inner seal as you did on the video. There does not seem to be one and I don't see where one might be missing. I can't seem to find any exploded diagrams of the axle to confirm one way or the other what is happening. Any ideas here? Thanks

Thanks for posting these videos. They make dealing with the Birfield totally possible. Absolutely outstanding content and delivery.

Haha I’m not exactly sure what you’re talking about but I rewatched the video again (since we made this video a couple years ago) are you talking about the brake caliper bolts? I don’t remember exactly but it may have been a bad first take and we just put it back in to film showing taking it out. I honestly don’t remember, but I can assure you nothing was taking out and cleaned to make it look easy. If there’s a part you’re having trouble with let me know and I’ll try to give ya some ideas on how to remedy it.

What happened your hand? Hope it will be ok.😢
@henryitsdeza55535 ай бұрын
Well, the hand was a crazy story in a nutshell. What occurred was I was taking part a wheel bearing on a truck and the case exploded and a piece of metal went into my hand and I actually had to have full on surgery to get it out!!!! fortunately it went well and I was able to continue on

Its called "shell banks", the place with all the shells. We did this in vehicles like that on the mainland coast of Mexico back in the 80s, looking for surf spots in Michoacan and Colima. The spot your camping is Mitchel's cut. Cool trip, my home beach.
