Fantastic Sean! This is a great trick and as usual you show exactly how and what to do and why. I am very excited to get your Mantis Playing Cards at Butterfly Playing Cards. Thanks again.

It's a beautiful trick, and an even more beautiful deck! I can't wait to see those cards from a little closer! I love decks that have insects design, Idk what it is, I just find the geometrical and very fragile beauty of dragonfly or bees wings beautiful! So this deck fits my tastes perfectly! Thank you to all the team for allowing this deck to exist, see you on friday!

i love this trick, but instead of using "spelling" the card, i use the card value, because it will be more sense, first time i seen this trick, i keep telling my self, why should i spelling the card to get the number of card order?? a little bit strange.

Yesterday the frog landed on the card that has de gimmick, they saw the card stick in the back, they were so surprised to see the chosen card in the back that didn't ecen realised it was a gimmick card, so I had to explain them so unlucky!!!

Haha!!! Lucky yet unlucky.

3:08 Instead of this you could also use a deck with 51 cards, that way nothing "fishy" has to happen during the routine.

The best deck (as far as ease of manipulation) must be the ones by Ellusionist, made after 2019 by Cartamundi on E7 stock (Cohort is one of them). The bicycle Elites come close to the E7 stock.

Hi Sean, how do you display cards face up in your hands as a left hander. Do you just do it with your right hand. You can tell I am a novice but I have to start somewhere. Love your videos!!!!
@mikeonthebox7 күн бұрын
Didn't know the Rumba count, does that works on the real world? It look pretty obvious. I'm guessing it only works under certain circumstances.
@mikeonthebox7 күн бұрын
Doesn't the Elmsley count looks a bit more confusing when done this way, as you start with the cards in the same hand that you are counting into. Looks unnatural as one thinks that you moved one card into your receiving hand, when you actually moved 3 to it and then you start counting from there, so the spectator gets confused.

Although I am far from adept at palming it would be an interesting variation to palm the packet of aces and hand the deck to a spectator and let them shuffle.
@ineedmoney2998 күн бұрын
These cuts are excellent. I like all of them! Do more sleights.
@khabaled9 күн бұрын
Thanks for the trick. However, I wanted to point out that there is really no need to do the Ascanio Spread at the end as the Ace is already second from the bottom. All you have to do is remove the bottom card and you are good to go. From my understanding, Jennings liked to add moves when they weren't needed and it seems to be the case (to me) in this trick.

Interesting you prefer this tone George, as someone who’s grown up with much grittier films in general. This innuendo laden quippy tone was the hallmark of Bond through the Connery and especially the Moore, Dalton and Brosnan eras. Then in the 90s action series like Bourne and Mission Impossible came along, much grittier and harder in tone. Bond lost a lot of relevance and was losing popularity, so was reinvented for the Craig era with a much harder edge and much of the humour and slapstick removed. As an almost 50 year old growing up with ‘funny’ Bond I much preferred the grittier Craig films, I’d got tired of all the silliness and humour. Just shows that your perception is shaped by your experience!

I love svengali decks. I've even fooled people familiar with svengali decks using one. This fooledme completely and i think that's down to the fact that at no point did JC handle it like a svengali deck. Brilliant stuff.

Another idea: if we can get the spectator's card at the 22nd position (using the thick card), we can then perform Darwin Ortiz's Maximum Risk, where the performer can repeatedly eliminate half the deck by dealing two hands, and the final remaining card turns out to be the spectator's card. It's a lot of dealing, but Darwin Ortiz made an entertaining presentation out of it in his book "Scams and Fantasies with Cards".

I feel like, similar to crosscut force, if too many tricks you perform use this same concept that they will eventually catch on. Could be wrong

If you know how to do a card force, you can pull this off as well, with just one deck. Especially if you have a reliable psy force. You wouldn't need to spread the deck, unless you just wanted to do it to show fairness.
