@@dudemann. Cool!! Do you know of anything similar make to this 8ball ATC that is for sale? I seen one thing that is called Royal R8 Quick Easy Change but I don't like the fact you have to push a button on that and it needs driving points, I'm looking for something more automatic like this 8 Ball ATC do you know of anything?? I read something about a pull-stud collet but I don't know much more????

Do you have any info on how you setup the mach3 side of things for the rotary tool changer?

How did you program this part for the taig
@christophersmith28525 жыл бұрын
I started by drawing the gear itself using Deltacad software www.deltacad.com. Then drawing the slitting saw in the three cutting locations. Since the rotary axis has more backlash than what was allowable i rotated in one direction and used incremental (G91) positioning only for the rotation of each tooth (360°/127= "G00 G91 A2.8346") for each position. facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=787191998042890&set=p.787191998042890&type=3

This is the fastest tool changer I've ever seen adapted to a mini mill. If you factored in your labor, what do you think the total cost of making this was?

I just ran into your channel, and found it fascinating. I have a Sherline 5000 milling machine of which I am going to utilize the head for a larger cnc platform I'm working on. but I've run into a problem. I want to adapt the Joe Vicars automatic tool changer to the head of my CNC/Sherline build, but, in my haste I dismantled my Sherline head as required for this ATC, to modify the spindle leaving three parts not done, and not having an extra milling machine, excuse my impertinence, but can you help me with these three parts, I'll be commissioning the work, of course. I have blue prints of the three parts. you can see one of the parts in the following video, the central "wheel' holding the arms, the other two parts are underneath that first "wheel" kzbin.info/www/bejne/l2LCgqCvoqidg7c
