Stumbled across you cause of just this song^^ Classic, "my mix" rando Song during a boss fight in baldurs gate 3 with mates, only i heard the song in the party with friends, started moving my hips and my change in play style was well noticed 😏👌 i think only ppl with our red eyes are open enough to enjoy this awesome Band beside of its weirdness☺️ kushy times guys, cheers✌️😁❤

His sister in law died right in front of him and his brother her husband she was apart of the family for along time I lost my friend/guy crush to suicide in 2015 then my aunt to alcoholism in 2018 and then I lost my God mom in 2019 to cancer/Covid and then in 2022 I lost my older cousin to a heart condition and this year I lost a family/friend I considered like a aunt growing up I knew her since I was 3 I’m 23 and that hurt so much I never had time to heal from all these deaths yet I started healing after I left my ex fiancée for cheating and abuse I’ve been healing 1yr of finally letting go of pain I’ve been through deaths, SA, DV, and heartbreak this song came along at the time I really needed it

You should react to Pleader. It's one of the tracks that are not so well known but it's one of their best in my opinion. The music video is also immaculate, it's like an actual short movie.

You two basically got it right. or at least parts were right. The song ist not specifically about Dan Reynolds (lead singer) but it has parts of his problems in it. he suffered from depression for quite some time and this song describes it pretty well. All the emotions, all the pressure etc was just "too much" and he wished them to go away. But it also describes "modern" problems in general. Not only his problems but he refers to everybodies life issues. For example where he says "so pretty in pink, necklace and ring". Not every girl/woman is the same. It is like a stereotype to say girls should look cute and wear dresses etc. And he wants to make clear that those stereotypes could be too much for some people. Family, friends, society expect you to be "perfect" or similar to their "ideals" but sometimes this can be too much for a human and it just "crushes down on you". Thx for reacting, nice video 😁

I think whats great about this song is that each side spits both truths, and incorrect stereotypes. Each side makes good ppints, and each side also makes assumptions about the other side and judges them about those assumptions. In the end, if you pick a side, black guy or white guy, you miss the point, because its not about who "won", its about both sides expressing themselves, right or wrong, and then hugging it out and ::talking:: - as human beings, not colors. As for how America is, from your reaction i feel like you think we have race riots daily? The newsmedia in this country likes to amplify our differences and skirmishes that arise from them because it gets clicks and views. Im white and ive had black friends all my life, and dated a black man. My boyfriend is white and his closest friend is black. 95% of the people you meet here in daily life dont care what color anyone is. Please rethink your views of what it is to be here and be American, specifically a white American. Most people i know dont care what color someones skin is, and that includes conservatives. Yes, slavery has left scars that we're still trying to heal. We're working it out. This video is part of that - it is emblematic of our growth, not a decline.
