"Most of the white people think that way". What brings you to that conclusion? Do you know most of the white people in the US? I think whats great about this song is that each side spits both truths, and incorrect stereotypes. Each side makes good ppints, and each side also makes assumptions about the other side and judges them about those assumptions. In the end, if you pick a side, black guy or white guy, you miss the point, because its not about who "won", its about both sides expressing themselves, right or wrong, and then hugging it out and ::talking:: - as human beings, not colors. As for how America is, from your reaction i feel like you think we have race riots daily? The newsmedia in this country likes to amplify our differences and skirmishes that arise from them because it gets clicks and views. Im white and ive had black friends all my life, and dated a black man. My boyfriend is white and his closest friend is black. 95% of the people you meet here in daily life dont care what color anyone is. Please rethink your views of what it is to be here and be American, specifically a white American. Most people i know dont care what color someones skin is, and that includes conservatives. Yes, slavery has left scars that we're still trying to heal. We're working it out. This video is part of that - it is emblematic of our growth, not a decline.
