IMO this is the first great game in the franchise. Its my second favorite game in the series (I've played every main series game besides X) behind IV while I and II are my least favorite and second least favorite games in the series.

Oooo you might be the person that can help me with a dragon quest v problem. I’ve had two translated carts from Ali express from different sellers, both crash when the players bag is full. Have you found a physical translation that works?

I've had one for years but never played it beyond a few mins just to see if it worked at all. After I had issues with my DQ 1+2 cart a few years ago I just decided to play the SFC games on an emulator for my videos to avoid any of those issues. Assuming its SFC carts you are talking about, anyway lol.

@ yeah I’m a bit of a nerd for Super Famicom games. I usually buy a Japanese cart then put in the English translation. Any idea what translation yours is? I think it says as you boot it up if you did have it to hand by any chance. I’d be able to tell you if it’s the one that crashes

@@Vampiregimpmask My SNES is currently in storage atm, but based on some old recorded footage I have of it, the translation is by SpSpiff and programming by byuu, or dyuu.

@ ah. It’s the same version I’ve had then. You may find it crashes when you fill your bag. I also had other glitches when characters were poisoned. I really want to play a version on original hardware if possible

@@BigCalsWorld I have 1 game I keep sealed. My PS4 came with Fallout 4 and Dishonored 2. When I finally got bored of FO4 I couldnt bring myself to open Dishonored so bought a second one. 😬. Otherwise I will only buy to play - if that means cart or disc only, then I am happy to do so.

most of my consoles are in storage boxes under my bed, and I get them out when needed. Only have room for like 2 to be set up at a time. As for games... I have the shelving units behind me in the videos, another single shelving unit for my Wii games, then a bunch of games in multiple drawers... and now they have just started to pile up anywhere I can put them lol.

Never played the Twisted Metal series, fell out of the gaming scene for a few years not long after the N64 came out. Missed out on most of the PS1 / Saturn / N64 / Dreamcast generation. Had an N64 & Dreamcast but never played them that much, my younger brothers played on them more. Remember my youngest bro getting a PS1 slim and PS2 slim round the same time but never really played much on them.

As a kid from the 80's I loved Star Wars, had loads of the toys, (still have most of them in the attic), loved the original trilogy. I went and see eps 1, 2, 3 & 7 in the cinema when they came out. I thought eps 2 & 3 were ok, but the latest trilogy is awful and has put me off the franchise. I watched some of the series' but never really peaked my interest. Currently playing through Jedi Survivor, which seems like a decent game, story is crap and game is buggy in places but still enjoyable.
