Oooo you might be the person that can help me with a dragon quest v problem. I’ve had two translated carts from Ali express from different sellers, both crash when the players bag is full. Have you found a physical translation that works?

I've had one for years but never played it beyond a few mins just to see if it worked at all. After I had issues with my DQ 1+2 cart a few years ago I just decided to play the SFC games on an emulator for my videos to avoid any of those issues. Assuming its SFC carts you are talking about, anyway lol.

@ yeah I’m a bit of a nerd for Super Famicom games. I usually buy a Japanese cart then put in the English translation. Any idea what translation yours is? I think it says as you boot it up if you did have it to hand by any chance. I’d be able to tell you if it’s the one that crashes

@@Vampiregimpmask My SNES is currently in storage atm, but based on some old recorded footage I have of it, the translation is by SpSpiff and programming by byuu, or dyuu.

@ ah. It’s the same version I’ve had then. You may find it crashes when you fill your bag. I also had other glitches when characters were poisoned. I really want to play a version on original hardware if possible

@@Vampiregimpmask Yeah I bought the english translation carts with the plan to play on OG hardware, but sadly its just not really possible with so many issues.
