After listening to this album a couple of times, I eventually bought the CD after it grew on me. I’ve been a Camilizer for a long while since 5H and I can safely say that she is trying to branch out. Which I think is extremely important for any artist to do ESPECIALLY after leaving a group. She probably doesn’t want to be known as “that one innocent latina girl from fifth harmony” anymore which is completely understandable. A couple things about the album, It sounds really outdated to me. VERRRY 2016-18, but I think that’s okay because this WAS Camilas time anyways. To the person who mentioned this is a love letter to Miami, yes it definitely is. I’m not from Miami, but when i listen to this album, I almost always automatically imagine palm trees and flat land, going on the boat around the city partying, etc etc. She did a good job with this. It’s a very unique album for sure. Yes, it sounds like Charli XCX, but you can’t expect artists to not experiment with this hyperpop sound. It doesn’t belong to any artist. It’s a genre. And besides, it still sounds like Camila. It’s hyperpop with the style of Camila.
