We’ve recently sold our caravan after 8 years on the road. Currently waiting for our slide on camper to be made. Can’t wait to have the freedom to take any road, pop in to lookouts and out of the way campspots without the hassle of towing the van. We love the backroads too. Love the Tenterfield area too.

Old boy is my (Beaus) father, he has been following along towing his caravan on and off since we left Perth nearly 2 years ago. The blue harness is from dog friendly co 👍

Thank you so much! How exciting, it sure is an amazing trip and one we couldn’t recommend enough! This was filmed at the end of July (just after schools holidays finished). We found this a great time due to such a big wet season it gave the creeks that bit more time to disperse. It is still quite busy at that time but we met so many amazing people it was worth it! ☺️

I would have taken the safety first approach especially after seeing how much water was already pumping through the river. School holiday time is the best time to give the coast a wide berth.

Guys sorry that it may be a stupid question. I heard of people getting lost and found dead years later …. What is the radio and rescue option we can have installed - my brother owned one in Poland years ago but that’s much smaller space than Aussie also would you carry like a rescue „gun” to show your location?

Not a stupid question at all, if we don’t ask we don’t learn right. ❤️ We use a PLB (personal Location Beacon) they aren’t the cheapest but what is a price you put on safety. In case of an emergency you would activate it and it would signal to emergency services that will know your location with the device. We make sure this is in the car and if we are to go walking/ hiking we would also take it with us. Another thing we swear by for the car is UHF to radio for help and is such a great tool whilst driving for so many reason. I hope this helps and makes sense if not please feel free to ask anymore questions you may have. 👍❤️

What a year you guys have had in 2024, we’ve loved following along with you on KZbin. Oh guys! Love this episode! Fantastic to look back and very interesting stats. This is the year we will be starting our adventure and we couldn't be more excited. I would go tomorrow if I could! At the moment we are getting the Ranger ready, caravan is coming in the next few months, but right now we are working on getting our house ready for sale, clearing out, selling stuff and getting it on the market. You guys are definitely part of our inspiration to take the leap and we'd like to sincerely thank you for putting it all out there.

I bet, I still remember how we felt leading up to it and everyday was like should I just walk out on work tomorrow and we just head off 😂 but it is all apart of the journey and your story so we have to make the most of it. How exciting to have the new rig that is awesome and not long for the new van ggeeezzz what a way to bring in the new year congratulations to the hard work you have both put in and going after what you want. Oh man the fun jobs 🫣 cleaning the house and having to sell everything would have to be the most boring part 😂 I hope everything sells super quickly for you guys and it is a nice easy process. You have absolutely made our day thank you for your kind words, remember it is you guys taking the leap and going after something that is pretty bloody scary so don’t forget to be proud of yourselves everyone thinks you just click your fingers and you are rich to go and do this lifestyle but if only it was that easy. We truely can’t wait to hear everything leading up to leaving and the day you get to drive out the drive. 🥳❤️

Went there the other day it was Raining we left at 7:25am it was pouring raining we lucky we didn't get stuck for a week so we got back to Cairns Around 10:45am got to port Douglas it was sunny there it was beautiful there i probably miss it a lot now its been my second time There

We are Perth based and have done most of our trips in either an old camper or a tent and a Prado We’ve just bought a Hilux and a Trayon. No more towing! One big difference is we are.in our sixties!

(Time to fit her out) me and my partner are also planning on taking our staffy, but I’ve noticed Luna is not on this trip. What did you do with her? And can I take my dog on this trip? My (Beau) old man was with us at the time and he didn’t want to do it so we made the really hard choice to leave her. At the time we just didn’t know if it was best with crocs and different things but honestly next time we would take her no dramas. Really appreciate the support and glad you are enjoying it mate.
