Does anyone know how he made it so that all tracks are armed, but you only hear the ones he is currently selecting/recording? (The others are grayed out until then as you can see at the bottom right of the screen recording)

Awesome performance! Would you believe you could launch all of these live looping steps from a single foot switch? Sounds too good to be true, right? Well, it’s not, it’s called the M-List MIDI Foot Switch. The guy that invented it was just thinking about using it for changing patches on his amps and effect units. But I figured out how to used it to control Ableton Live for one button live looping across multiple clips/tracks! kzbin.info/www/bejne/rKK8qISapMeDjJosi=sicN2-xRw012Li8r

Very nice, but how did you get the track to repeat like that to ad the other music and sounds, how did you layer it like that.
@ShortP10897 ай бұрын
have a look at ableton live and the looping options you have there. he basically started the loop by pressing his ableton push2's controller and after a pre-set value of 4/8 beats it just started playing whatever was put in. his setup is pretty advanced, so you need to sit down and preplan stuff like that out. doing something like this on the fly is pretty much impossible if you improvse it out of the blue

Every bit of the performance is sick! the guitarist/bassist is a silent killer! and the vocals and looping!! more than a baseball field worth of crowd performance!

I would be so amazing if i figured out how to loop on ableton, or even my boss loop pedal. I never realized being a musician would also mean I would have to learn computer programming and software engineering. I feel so creative yet every time I sit in front of ableton. I draw a complete blank and don't know what any of the buttons do.

Man I thought Jarin was going to eat some beans when he pulled out that metal mug...we were about to get a different kind of bass sound 😆Loved the random percussion in this one.
@MastahChuck Жыл бұрын
For me, this might be a case of a cover being better than the original. Please don't crucify me commenters or PHANTOMS. Not only do you and Danielle sound great together, but you dual wield that controller like bosses. And no matter how many times I watch this 1:24 gets me every time. "I have a million things going on in my mind right now but I can drop the bass on my own, thanks" 🤣

Dude... You were crushing this song. 10/10. Then off on some tangent with video game sound effects. smh You've got all the talent in the world. Maybe even the ability to make a song for a video game release commercial or something. But that's a very niche thing that doesn't mix well with "top40" type smash hits. I would try to separate the styles into 2 separate types of songs. Not sure they blend well together. Just my 2 cents.

I thought it was a perfect sound to match the song's theme. It IS a song about portals very video game thematic. Fun little solo too. Goated on the pads. Would love to see you experiment with a pad drum solo ala David "fingers" Haynes 😁
