Mat Zo - Killing Time DRUM COVER

My first video as a youtube user. Hope you enjoy this drum cover of Mat Zo's "Killing Time" from his 2016 album, Self Assemble.

I recorded video for this on 4 devices: GoPro Hero 5 Black, iPhone 6S, iPad 4, and Zoom Q3HD. What a mess lol.
I recorded drum mic audio into Cubase, then mixed those audio tracks together with the music track in Ableton
Finally edited the video to the finished audio in Adobe Premiere.
I had a lot of fun and learned a ton about each program during the process. Ask any questions u want in the commentttttttts

Snoo Lee Funny how you comment on one video, complaining about how nice and expensive the studio is (you're not wrong, a lot of money has gone into it), and then you tell me to spend money on recording school. What do you think I could have done better with this mix? How would you have done things differently? Let's have a conversation about this so at least one of us can learn from it 😉

the young guys can not stand it when you expose them to real players. Literally they pout and run in the opposite direction and have a personal crisis because it does not fit the "In the last ten minutes" and "I want it now" mode. There is a real lack of soul in people who do not understand dedication, patience and struggle. And sweat

I was always taught that the critic is the artist's best friend. But I've never met an artist that demands censorship. You put your butt out in public on the interweasel and you expect and demand only chirpy compliments? Man that's just weird.

If you like were for real in what I think of as for real, you'd be "browsin drummerworld" for 22 hours a day and not crying about it. you seem awfully strangely weirdly self-satisfied. I mean, dude, you're posting jams not compositions. Riffing on chords and call it a song? Yes, I have a real good buddy who does that and I am trying to figure out how to break it to him. Any suggestions? He plays noise guitar over a riff and then he says he has a song. He's really good at noise guitar, but something is way way way missing from the concept.

Snoo Lee lol I don't "demand" only compliments, man...I just comment back when someone comes up in here throwing empty insults at me after viewing my content. I respect constructive criticism, but you clearly have not given me that. i would actually be curious to hear what exactly you don't like about my drumming, my mixing, my playing of other instruments...all of which you have insulted by claiming that I have no idea what I'm doing, when clearly the overwhelming majority of other viewers don't agree. Constructive criticism would mean you've identified something I'm doing wrong, explain it, and offer a solution.
