That’s beautiful, do you have an item list? We’ve been looking at installing some durable panels for ours

Hello, these panels are super easy to build. I’ll be going into a deeper explanation when I post the Power Plant video, stay tuned. Note! Make sure you use the 3M glue, I ran out and used a Harbor Freight Glue and it ruined the panel…. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out!

@milestonesprintervan-peter9545Ай бұрын
@@carolinacanineconsulting6873 In San Jose CA we have Tap Plastics. They have 4x8 foot sheets available. Please keep in mind that ABS plastics expands and contracts with temperature. I used the 3M spray glue and it worked pretty good but I would also consider user a linoleum glue and trowel it on to keep it as tight as possible. Please let me know what you end up doing?

Very nice video! I have the exact same van & plan to do same upgrade. Can I ask , do rear mud-flaps also need to be modified & what is the roof rack you installed
@milestonesprintervan-peter9545Ай бұрын
Hey Jason, you don’t have to do anything on the rear mud flaps when installing the larger tires, they fit perfectly. The roof rack and ladder are from Aluminess in Santee CA. We are actually swapping out the existing Safari Rack and installing the new Explorer Rack as it accommodates my Solar design setup. If you’re interested in buying the old rack it’s available?

Do you regret planting so close to a tall fence? Seems like by doing so your really limiting the amount of direct sunlight that they get.
@milestonesprintervan-peter95454 ай бұрын
Hey Cody, the plants planted next to the fence do better than the ones planted in direct sunlight. Check out the our other video comparing the two locations. It’s really amazing how well they do. The stalks will be 12 to 14 feet long by the end of the season and the fruit is wonderful. Thanks for watching!

so the 2 wires in the white now go to the black connector and they go in the same holes on each one?
@milestonesprintervan-peter95454 ай бұрын
Yes, swap the wires front to back, back to front. Keep the same wire orientation (grey wire to grey wire, colored wire to colored wire) or the center speaker will be out of phase with the other speakers in the van. Thanks for watching the video!

What's the best method for tying the string? Where on the plant? Do you tighten it as it grows? What type of sting?
@milestonesprintervan-peter95456 ай бұрын
Hey Brittany, please re-watch the video and the update video to see the details but we don’t tie the strings to the plants. We have conduit on both the top and the bottom. We purchase the string off Amazon, it standard hemp or jute cord. Here’s the link from our last purchase. Good luck! 👍 www.amazon.com/Natural-Gardening-Industrial-Presents-Decorations/dp/B083P5QGTT

Nice. Was looking for a video on doing this to my van build. I'd do it a little differently by just drilling the wire hole only. The butyl tape and lap sealant (or eternabond tape) should be fine without the 3 additional screws. I just try to minimize any more holes in the roof. Thanks.

One more question after doing the wire swap: Do you see an "SOS unavailable" message illuminated in red, then turns off after 15 seconds? - I see this on the main MBUX screen at the very top edge on the right, where a few other small icons are displayed. For additional info, I have a 2022 MB, 2023 Revel. Thanks for your help! Switching the wires into their proper connectors has made a huge difference in sound- my only concern is the SOS function.
@milestonesprintervan-peter95457 ай бұрын
Hey Catherine, good to hear the wire swap went well and the stereo sounds better!!! The “SOS Unavailable” has nothing to do with the speaker wires, no worries! You get that message when you turn the vehicle on and it is connecting to the over air link or the vehicle has lost the connection (ie in a tunnel for a while). The red light near the SOS button on the ceiling is also illuminated during the sync process. You probably didn’t notice the message before, it happens on all Sprinter vans when you start up the system. Again, awesome job on the swap!!!👍

Does the wire position matter if doing the “official fix”? For example if green is on the left of the wrong clip, should it be on the left of the correct clip when I make the swap? Thank you in advance, and thank you for posting this video!!
@milestonesprintervan-peter95457 ай бұрын
Hey Catherine, yes! You should keep the colored wires in the same position (i.e. green to purple position and purple to green position, gray to gray). If you cross wired them then the center speaker would be out of phase with the small left and right tweeters and the door speakers. It’s purely a sound quality issue if the wires are crossed. Great question and thanks for watching the video!

this seems like a lot of work compared to just cutting the edge and using that agile template, and replacing the stock mud flap. Is this solution give you more clearance?? Im getting a new 24 4x4 and I wanna run larger tires
@milestonesprintervan-peter95457 ай бұрын
Yes, this fender modification gives you more clearance to install larger tires. There are several different options for the modification and we choose Agile Offroad’s. The before and after clearance is shown in the video.
@fishghawz8 ай бұрын
You just need to switch the wires on the end of the one pin connector. No need for an attenuator - avoid the nightmare. Jehnert also makes a $27 cable that switches it for you but they don’t ship to the U.S.
@milestonesprintervan-peter95458 ай бұрын
That is absolutely correct! We added the attenuator prior to Mercedes announcing that they manufactured the speaker pig tails incorrectly. The official fix is at the end of the video and is super simple to rework. Less than 5 minutes effort if you have a dental pick in your toolbox.

Did you fill your entire 18" excated footer with concrete? Or did you use gravel of some kind? Great wall. Thanks.
@milestonesprintervan-peter95458 ай бұрын
Yes, we put a layer of gravel on the bottom of the trench before pouring the concrete, maybe 3 to 4 inches (left overs from the pavers). We soaked them with water so they compacted before concrete. Thanks for watching!
