What type and thickness of string do you use?

Hey there… we used 4 Ply 2.5mm Jute Twine, it works well with the plastic clips. Thanks for watching

Did you end up needing more support in the middle?

Hey Jennifer, after one season with the A-Frame we’ve made a few changes. Yes, mid season we did add a vertical piece of conduit that held all the plants perfectly. Unfortunately as the stalks hit the top they got tangled. We just finished converting the A-Frame to a rectangle and it will keep the mature plants separated. The metal conduit is very simple to change, and yes I put in a vertical piece in the middle based on our previous experience.
