Hi Robert, we had a lovely time on the Lanky, probably the best week of the year, weather wise at the time. I’m sorry to hear about your boat, there were issues whilst we there but none affected us. Since our return, apart from the breach, I’ve noted four trees down, which might have caused us problems. Sally and I kept the trip under wraps, so sorry we weren’t able to meet up, all the best, hope water levels recover soon. Cheers

There were problems with the sea lock and Glasson Branch when we were there, which didn’t affect us. Since we’ve come back, there have been at least four trees down and other incidents. We had a great week, weather and everything else wise. All the best.

Hi Umberto, it was a lovely unexpected present. The Lancaster Canal has 41 miles of lock free cruising, we joined at about a third way up. We watched some of Narrowboat Will’s vlogs but didn’t want to see too much. I should be ready with the first episode next week. Cheers.

Thunder-storms, with a temperature of 30 - 35 degrees C, and a Humidity of 95 % ! My Forecast App says ""Take an Umbrella"" ! But it should start to get back to normal, Bright sunshine with temperatures of 35 - 40 degrees C ! Stay dry Alan, {or should I say NALA } ! Stu xx

Many thanks Ronald. I do have a windlass holder but rarely use it. Having a windlass flailing about your body is not very comfortable, so doesn’t suit me. Some people tuck them into a loop on the back of their trousers but again it’s not for me. I would prefer not to hold it, especially as I would prefer to hold a camera. All the best🤠

Watford Locks are not difficult to negotiate and as I volunteer there, they seem friendly to me. Sally is fine thanks, we spend a lot of time together. I have wanted to experiment flying the drone from a moving boat, but it’s just too risky, as two hands are needed for the drone control and one or two for the boat! Have thought about buying a cheap drone to use. Not such a bad idea but none too practical😀 Cheers
