We were there in 2018 and that area was there. Still was getting fully up and running from our experience so it was just prior to then I'd guess. LOVE Curacao, bought a great hand painting down a back side street, It's HUGE. Ended up getting it for like $50 bucks which was more than 50% of the price. I didn't even intentionally "haggle". It was just weird but not complaining.

Pro tip if you are ever stuck to where only part of the floor is accessible do not attempt to get out of the elevator even if a tech says it will be fine.
