I see someone wlse in the comments insisting Royai isn't canon and that i feel like they see it that way because they weren't in a relationship, but I believe that subtle clues, and miss-it-if-you-blink winks and nudges can make something canon as well. Having those clues planted by the author, and at the same time the characters showing signs that their feelings were somehow mutual, isn't that enough? ♥

Late, but I read your analysis of Riza's tattoo. I didn't notice the upper left quadrant was describing nuclear fusion before now. In light of this, it deepens the thematic parallels between the state alchemists (particularly Roy) and nuclear weapons irl. By showing flame alchemy is more based in physics than chemistry, the author has subtly strengthened her own theming. Respect.

It's so good to see that no one dislikes the couple usually most fandoms get very overboard with hating on couples, but I have never seen anyone trying to tear my fav. OTP apart.✨ (P.s I still believe that in the picture from the epilogue Riza is the first lady.)
