They are the same ! Same manufacturer made for Royal Talens in Nederlands. I have one or two with the Sakura-label because they came in a bundle. I always just get the Art Creation-branded when shopping for a new sketchbook.

Thank you! I found this out as well, the only real difference is the Sakura flower logo. Art Creation branding is cheaper-it’s wise to opt for this one ❤️

Sorry for the delay in replying, I believe I have added water on some colours but not on all. The brown ink was not very strong and I remember just pouring more inks from the pot when I used it instead of adding water.

Hi. You’re really talented. I was wondering if I use gel pens, ballpoint pens or anything like that, would it ghost on the other side of the paper in this notebook??

That is very kind of you ❤️ thank you very much! So I went ahead and tested the paper with the pens I have, with the zebra gel pens-minimal ghosting (almost negligible)-definitely no bleed throughs, same as when I used my uni pine fine liner ink-albeit I had the sepia ink so I’m not sure if that’s a factor but definitely no bleed throughs as well. Sadly with a sharpie there is a definite ghost-like I won’t recommend using the back for another artwork. I hope this answers your question! (Ballpoint pen-unless you later over and over heavily, I think shouldn’t ghost on this paper)

Hi! I watched my video again and there’s definitely no rose pink included in this set. Do you live in another country (I got this from UK Lidl’s)? Perhaps they sell a different set depending on where you are based? There are only 12 tubes included in this set and I have swatched and named all the colours included and sadly-no rose pink! thanks for the heads up though and thanks for dropping by my channel😊

Hi Dianne, I’ve seen people use it for acrylics- it sure about oil paints. Personally it think acrylics/gouache is as far as I’d be willing to try with these brushes. Even using it for acrylic paints is making me cringe inside 😅 I love them so much Im scared of ruining them! Although they have proven robust and still going to this date ❤️ I’m sorry I could not definitely answer about the oil paints as I have not used this medium with the brushes myself. Thanks again for checking out my video!

I am based in the UK and I paid £131.88 for the whole set, shipping included. It was £10.99 per box at the time too if I were to buy it separately. With the current exchange rate of the bank I use, that will be 8,743.644 pesos for the whole set. I divided this by 12 and it turned out that it costs 728.637 per box. 550 is a bargain!

Hi Greek Veteran, I can say that they are 99% alike in smoothness. Maybe more, there’s no major noticeable difference when using them. Hope this helps!

I use both sakura and royal talens - they are both very smooth - but sakuras paper is slighty ( microscopically so) toothier. You can barely tell the difference. All I know is i much prefer the sakuras for colored pencils

Even though I didn't order the Talens version, I did notice that tiny difference on videos, so I ordered the 2 Sakuras in A5 and A6 size. The medium that worked best on them, was the Sakura Fineliners! graphite pencil is ok-ish, but nothing special and what surprised me the most, is that it took Chalk pencils (Red Chalk,Dark Sepia especially) which I didn't expect with that kind of smoothness! Thank you for your reply! I now confirm I was right, that they are very similar, but not 100% the same paper on their sketchbook versions! PS I lke how it warms the colors, without making them darker, like many other cream or ivory papers do!@@Maggpai

Hi Sophie, to be honest I have now lost this camera! But based from my experience using it, updating the firmware usually helps. I have explained how to do this at the beginning of the video timestamp 0:15 secs. You will need a micro SD card to do this. I hope this solves your problem!

The brush issue is an easy fix. First of all, did you push it all the way to properly fix the 2 parts together? If yes, then there are many ways to fix the issue, without having to glue it. As for the de-assembling it back together, try to hold the cup part near or better on the very front, not far from it as you did it on the video. That way, you'll have way more dexterity and it will be easy to out the brush in. Also bring the cup part, so that you can look into the empty space, that will also allow for more accuracy, thus easy pizy storage!

Hello! Thank you for your advice. I did push the brush part all the way in, got my husband to have a go, all efforts still resulted in the two parts falling off. I even tried twisting it a little bit to try and “lock” it in place but was unsuccessful. 😁 thanks again! Appreciate your tips! Take care!

Sorry for the late reply, I thought my previous message sent! Thank you for dropping by my channel. From my experience working on this sketchbook I can say that yes, colour pencils will work just fine on it. It’s May not be as textured as your would like for colour pencils but it has enough roughness. The paper has 170gsm so has decent thickness. I noticed that this size also goes on offer a lot, it might be worth shopping around to see where it is cheapest. I hope this helps! Take care!
