In big game fishing,we use live bonito as bait for marlin and tuna. And nomad DTX 200-40 feet at 10 to 12 knots. And when you get a lot of bonito hits that means there's not a single real monster predator fish around.

Great video. Thanks for making. I need to get trim tabs. 19' bay boat with a single 150 without trim tabs. Huge difference compared to a 32' boat with twin engines and trim tabs. Most people don't own a 32' boat. A video for smaller boats in rough seas would be awesome!!!

You didn't mention how much chain/rope you would let out in 5 feet of water later becoming 7 feet of water.

Great Job Ladies! :) I Love FLA! In fact... it's my home state! If any of you have never been... I highly recommend it. Okay... onto business at hand... your first signage on wake zones... is only conclusive on how information is passed onto "Joe Public". In all honesty... I can't help but laugh... even though the signs are very informative on what "not" to do... but I live for this stuff... So far in my travels... the funniest sign I came across was a warning sign when driving near an Major Airport. I don't know if anyone has really noticed, but the warning sign read... "Low Flying Aircraft". Okay... moving on. This one, I'll have to say, really rates up there in my books! Maybe some people are pretty clueless about "wake", understandably well... first off... wake causes damage... a lot of wake even causes more... but 15"? You can surf on that! Anyone know what wake surfing is? Secondly... understandably, about the Manatee thing... them poor critters, they are incredibly slow and if you're tooling along at about 15-20 knots... those guys really don't have much time to get out of the way. It's like swinging swords at a pedestrian cross walk... so yeah... give'm a break. Here's the funny part... I can't help but visualize a Manatee checking their watch and calendar. Then the 50' from shoreline gets me too... Yo! People... the ICW in Miami area is like 250' wide... which means... you have 150' area in the middle... open for high speed traffic with a maximum of 15" wake! Trust me on this one... I've been on the ICW on numerous occasions... It's like playing Dodge Ball with idiots that haven't a clue... There only out there cause they have a boat and maybe want to impress their friends. My advice to everyone... as inviting as it may seem to be... stay clear of the sandbars where there's a bunch of boats... psst... They all have been drinking and there's no port-a-potty. Just sayin'... there's no signs for that.... "Warning... Pisser Zone"... I don't think even the Manatee's go there. Simple advice... if the water looks brown, yucky and has a strange order... your first thought will more than likely be correct. Trust your senses, it's why we have them.

Hey, nice vid, what is the weight of your anchor ? Trying to figure out what sized buoy I need. I currently have a 20lb anchor. I fish freshwater out of a 23 foot Skeeter center console and tired of hauling in the heavy anchor..THANKS !

Florida fishing always cracks me up. What a fucking hell state. Yes, they have the ability to regenerate, but it takes a fuckton of time, and the studies done on their survivability basically states they have the same level of survival with one claw as they do with no claws Which is jack shit.

You two rock!! I have really been enjoying your pleasant and very informative videos as of late but I must say that this one about Barracuda really hit home for me. I also have enjoyed eating Cudas of less than five pounds with no issues locally in South Florida, although I wouldn't recommend it and I have also enjoyed dining at Flo's Conch Shack on Little Harbour quite some time ago but what really impressed me was when you described the source of Ciguatera poisoning as originating from smaller reef fish that have consumed marine fungi containing Dinoflagellate's. It just so happens that I sailed down through the Bahamas crewing for a gentleman whose wife specialized in studying marine fungi and discovered that Dinoflagellate's were the likely source. You two obviously do your research and also do your best to provide the most accurate information for your viewers. Keep up the good work! Enjoy Life! Keep fishing and much success to both of you!!

Fwc studies show the crab has a better survival rate if you take both clws. When it has 1 claw theywill try to fight and always loose if they only have one. No claws they go filter feed and dont challenge anyone else

As a first time boat owner I found this very educational and helpful. This knowledge would have come in very handy recently in the Wellington Harbour down here in New Zealand 🇳🇿. The water changed from glass to 1 metre swells with chop very quickly and as I was sheltered and protected by and island in the middle of the harbour I wasn’t aware of the change in conditions. I found getting back to the marina nerve racking with a few, ‘what am I doing out here in this’ moments on the way back. This video will absolutely help for next time. A huge thanks to you both for putting it together. You now have a new subscriber and I look forward to seeing your other content. Many thanks - Kiwi bloke 😊

Hi, this is my first posting on your channel. This weekend my brother in law and I went trolling. I’m not an experience fisherman but I do watch your channel from time to time. My brother in law throw a line to a distance where we could see the bait, me NO, I didn’t do that. I told him, I will do it like Gale Force Twins. I will do my first line 60 seconds back. And guess what, I was the only one getting a fish. Well, God but the fish there in the hook. You girls are the best. Please keep posting. Very instructional videos.
