Lexi is clearly the standout star of this band. Really guys? You gotta use a track for this song?
@Lexilynnute5 ай бұрын
Hi! We don’t HAVE to use a track, as all of our band members are phenomenal. We choose to use tracks because it elevates the sounds that instruments can’t naturally make. In fact, most musicians do for a full sound in order to execute synth and other fun parts of a song. It actually takes a lot of skill to be able to play along to a track, because if you get off the click for even a second, everything is messed up. We take out all of the parts in the track that are already played by the band members and as you can hear, the guitar player does the solo on his own and executes it amazingly. Thank you for your compliment though , I really do appreciate that you said I’m a standout star, I just know the rest of my band is just as amazing. (: -Lexi

@@Lexilynnute I think you need a better band, personally. And when you're ready to level up and make more money singing, let me know! I like what you do!

Yeah he is a killer player. But I do see what a lot of commentators are saying. He does tend to overplay. If you think of how Stevie did it the entire song wasn’t a lead. While Phillips playing is fantastic, I’ve begun to notice when you play lead through the entire song it becomes not so musical. Stevie’s songs had one lead break. It feels like he is way way over playing. It’s just a barrage of notes flying at you or blaring at you. A half an hour of this to me would be really exhausting for my ears. I hate to say this cause he is such a nice guy. I think he’s trying to hard. Just saying if you have ever been to one of his shows his songs are all like this. It can become exhausting to the ears if every single song is like that.

I met Philip Sayce in 2003-2004 when I was in my late teens at a back yard jam fest and I was sooo annoyed at how every girl that went with me and my two guy friends forgot we existed and just melted at how perfect everything about him was from his face, his height, his bone structure, his playing, his glowing aura, and to top it all off he has a super insanely peaceful calming personality.. 😑

He better not come to Texas playing like that. What he’s doing to that guitar is an assault of the highest order and he might have to spend the night in jail for treating her like that!

If you study SRV performances, he often used dynamics so effectively. He'd bring the volume down to a whisper before cranking it up again to a roar. Made it speical every time.

Now that Stevie & Gary are gone, & Trower is on another level, this guy is along that same path. Been listening to him ever since 2008. He gets scarier by the year.

Listening to as much of his music as I can. I certainly hear Trower and Hendrix filtering through as well. Love his latest album. Just really good stuff. Way Too cool to drool....!

Driving South was / is still one of my favorite Jimi Hendrix / Stevie Ray Vaughan songs , and Phillip has got that one down pat . And who can deny an old Classic “ Canned Heat “ melody from “ On the road again”. I’ve seen him play a few times now & he’s just on another level. Thanks for sharing this one here … 😎👍
