That can't be 5 pounds. It's gotta be bigger. Either way, nice vid. I did it at 225 but kept it in there for like 12 hours. I wasn't in a rush. Thanks

Texas style is done on a smoker. Just because it has salt and pepper doesn't mean "Texas"!

No way in the world did he cook that brisket like that by just putting the brisket in the oven on 350 and letting go for a couple hours!

Great video I loved the vibe of the explanation, great to listen to. Very simple, straight forward and to the point. I also liked that you showed the entire process, raw to finished with some cooking in between. Definitely the plan for the next brisket i cook.

Were you in a hurry? rule of thumb is usually 225 to 250 for about an hour per pound but you did 350 for three hours on 5 pound there’s no way that could’ve been as tender is it needed to be especially being a tougher cut like brisket in a situation like that I would’ve just gone with a pork shoulder or something like that if I was in a hurry doing high temp because it would be more tender

Personally, with the price of beef being so high these days, I would take the extra time to make it as good as it could possibly be doing that hour per pound

Bro you have no idea what you’re doing! Brisket should never be rare or red meat!!! You need at least 3 more hours to you cook time! As far as seasoning and rub you did was perfect. So disappointed in you and your recipe. I’d love to challenge you any day anytime with a easy and true method of over brazed brisket!

There are quite a few compound, “you know”. At the end of a sentence, then again at the beginning of next sentence. Pretty cool, you know?
