I like the Paladin but the Vargur is better outside of Angel space IMO since you can select damage type. Also yes, Ishtars can rat all of the same anomalies as Marauders and Carriers. Ishtars do much less DPS, and survive by speed tanking.

I think the difficulty it's good bc keeps your attention up, sometimes I fall sleep with other activities lol

a lot to manage and not worth the risk and hussle. this guy says he have 4 accounts running just to do ratting with this thanatos. what i would recommend instead are just getting all accounts into a praxis each, send them to each combat site, and make significant more isk for practically no risk. he could been making like 400 mill an hour in 4x 400 mill ships, and it takes a alot to loose them all same time

Depends on what ship you are flying and how they are fit. Frigates are fairly safe from a carrier as long as you keep out of smart bomb and neut range.

You’re killing rats twice as fast as an Ishtar but you’re using 3 accounts, need more time to pick up loot and risk billions. Why not just multibox Ishtars at fraction of the risk?

Hi, that's a good question! 180 degrees out from their velocity vector will maximize transversal. 90 Degrees from their velocity vector is a quick and dirty way to maximize range rate, with the added pro/con of keeping transversal low. I only do 90 degrees out if I am not being red boxed, otherwise I do 60 or 150 to keep at least SOME transversal.

you should maximize the distance between the transversal part of your velocity vector and the transversal part of the enemy velocity vector. Looking at the whole velocity vector (instead of splitting it into radial and transversal) as explained in the video allows you to minimize radial and transversal velocity simultaneously, but does not allow maximizing radial or transversal (and you can't maximize both simultanious). A strict 90° or 180° based on the whole vector doesn't work. Your velocity vector at 180° to the enemys velocity vector would maximize transversal iff (iff = if and only if) the enemy is moving transversal to you only. If the enemy is moving radial, your velocity vector at 180° would maximize radial velocity and put you at 0m/s transversal. Your velocity vector at 90° to the enemys velocity vector would maximize transversal iff the enemy is moving radial to you only. If the enemy is moving transversal 90° would give you some transversal and some radial (where the radial could be negative, zero, positive depending on your direction). bonus: This also means that you don't need to slow down your ship to match speed, but you can fly at low transversal while increasing or decreasing range.

Believe me when I tell you I wish I could share my fit with you. Releasing a video like this puts a target on my back and I would be telling the whalers what (and how many) weapons to bring if I publicly revealed my fit (this is an important lesson in and of itself - countless people would love to kill your carrier so the less you reveal about what and where the more safe you will be). The fit you use is also very bespoke for how and where you will be using it - and whether you can expect a rescue team or not. Being a solo player in NPC Null Sec is tough for a few reasons, first of which is there are no i-hubs spawning anomalies to rat (which is what I think you mean when you say ESS ratting), so the signatures to use your carrier in will be spread far and wide and require a lot of travel - and taking a carrier through a stargate is a big no no. Two, you will have to build, maintain, and defend a Fortizar in whatever system you choose to base your carrier out of - unless it has an NPC station (and if you cyno to an NPC station you can expect to lose lots of Cyno ships). This is very expensive and it's just a matter of time until somebody blows it up. Third, you have no rescue fleet since you are solo, so your build has to be as self sufficient as possible which limits your DPS options a bit (that or you just write off your carrier if it ever gets caught because a non-tanked carrier is a wet paper towel). Anyway, here is a fit I put together for you assuming that you are playing solo and want to be able to defend yourself somewhat. Better just get into a null alliance. No matter how many years someone played, noone knows everything. But there is a bigger chance to find answers if u are in 1
