I think you're time frame is off by about a decade. I remember most of these ads and I wasn't born until the last month of 1949. Plus, there were very few TV sets in the US during the 40's. Too expensive for all but the very well-to-do.

Jimmy and Tommy was just a little to close for my comfort in Sunbeam Bread. 😂😂 The commercial said "Jimmy sure do like sitting on the beam" 😂😂😂 And then shows a horse.,.😂😂😂😂

My husband works for Proctor and Gamble. I have been showing him some of these old ads from way back that P&G aired. Going to a physical. I don’t think my doctor will be smoking a cigarette at the office. 😊
